You were at the police station with Shibazaki looking over the evidence that was found at the scene. Metal wire, kitchen knife, sewing needless, and a small tracking chip. You were eyeing the items closely when you felt a tap on your shoulder, you turned your head. "Oh, hey Shiba-sensei." "I have something that I need to do but you can look around the building." You were happy to hear those words. Since your first field trip to the building in your sophomore year, you desperately wanted to explore the place. You thanked him as he walked off. You decided to begin from the very top floor and make your way back down.
Once the elevator arrived, you were glad that it was empty due to your social anxiety. You pressed the highest number that was on the panel. 36.
It took awhile but you got there. You dashed out the metal container once it opened. You were excited at first, then felt that something was off. As you walked around, you spotted Shibazaki. You were going to run up to him when you saw the expression on his face. It was stern and piercing. He walked into a room. The door locked automatically once it closed. You carefully walked over to the window looking into the room. You saw only Shibazaki's back. You wanted to see who he's talking to. As if he knew what you wanted, he walked towards another end of the small room. There sat the young man the entire world knew as Sphinx. You felt enraged just from looking at him. He was the reason for your mother's death.
~Flashback~
"Where's my wife and child?!" You heard your father yell from outside. You were crying in your mother's arms on the floor with a twisted ankle as she tried to calm you down. "It's okay, we're going to be fine. Stop crying okay? You're my brave little fighter." This just made you cry even more, knowing that nothing good was going to come from this. You heard a person yelling that there was a bomb not too far from you. After they yelled this, it was all just a blurry hell. People were trampling each other. You being one of them. When you tried to get up, someone forcefully stepped on your ankle causing you to feel every bone crushing moment. You then heard a faint old fashioned ringing. The bomb. You knew in your gut that it was. You felt your mother's warm body sheltering your shaking body. "I love you, I'm sorry..." You knew what she was doing and you didn't want this. You did everything you could to get her off your body. She just wouldn't budge. "MOM! DON'T DO THIS, PLEASE!!!" You shouted at the top of your lungs. You then felt yourselves get thrown into midair. Your stomach dropped, as if you were on a rollercoaster. However, this is no ride. This was your best nightmare to be answered. Suddenly you felt the impact, feeling like it took hours for you both to land.
