“Listen up.”The teacher barked at us.
It had been a difficult period. The “mean girls” wouldn’t stop talking and carrying on about useless things, so we couldn’t get much done today.
“LISTEN!” the teched yelled again.
So far, I hadn’t had any personal encounters with the mean girls but I felt like one was coming soon.
The Queen Bee’s name was Leighton and she had long blonde hair, blue eyes and golden-brown skin, I know cliche right.
Her little lap dogs name was Marisol with her dark brown hair, big brown eyes, and long dancer legs, she looked somewhat better than Leighton.
Her third in command lap dog’s name was Katherine. She had curly red hair and bright green eyes. She was the smartest of them all but she makes herself act dumb to “fit in with the cool kids”.
Since school started three weeks ago, they’ve made 47 kids life horrible already.
Yeah, I counted.
They disgusted me.I hate bullying, it breaks my heart by how mean some people can be.
“LISTEN UP NOW!” I heard the teacher yell over the class yet again. Just then the bell rang, everyone scrambled out of the classroom.
As I was leaving, the boy from earlier walked up beside me.
“Hey Ella!” He said.
“Hi umm … I never caught your name?”
“My name is Jackson”He said.
“Oh yeah! Jackson! Aren’t you in my math class?” I asked.
“Yeah!” ,he mocked my tone, ”I’m in like six of your classes!”
“Yeah,” I said and smiled .”Are you in my next class?”
“Yeah ,PE?”
“Yes!” We walked to the Gym on the first floor. On the way there a couple of girls stopped to talk to Jackson.
Excuse me, talking isn’t what they were really doing, they were basically throwing themselves all over him. A few of them nearly ran me over.
One minute were walking down the hall talking and laughing, the next girls are running down the hall yelling “JACKSON! JACKSON!”.
I mean he was obviously very, very sexy but they were just doing too much for me. I need for them to stop.
After a minute of waiting for him, I decided to walk to Gym alone. I wasn’t going to be late because he wanted to stop and talk.
I walked across the Gym floor and into the locker room.
Leighton and her “friends” were there changing into their gym clothes. I continued walking to my locker. Once I was there, I put in my combination and opened my locker..
I noticed that Leighton and her crew were staring at me. Trying to ignore them, ,I took of my dress and quickly put on my Gym shorts and shirt.
“Hey,” Someone called out. I realized that it was Leighton, and she was talking to me.
“Hello?”
“You’re Emma right?”
“It’s Ella.”I corrected her.
Why does everyone think my name is Emma?
“Anyways, how come you never talk to us?”
“What do you mean?”I asked her.
She rolled her eyes and said “I mean, why don’t you ever talk to us?”
Uhh, who was she supposed to be?
“Am I supposed to? How come you never talk to me?
“Hmm … I like your attitude.”Leighton said.
“Thank you?”I said, even though it came out like a question.
“You should sit with us at lunch today.”
“Thanks, but no thanks. I’m sitting with my friends.” I said.
“Ha, that’s cute and all ,but you should really sit with us at lunch.”
“Like I said, thanks, but no thanks” I repeated before walking away.
I walked back into the gym and waited for class to start.
When the bell rang all of the boys and girls came into the gym.
“Today we’re playing kick ball !I’ll be choosing you teams,” Mr.Fox said.
After Mrs.Coleman divided us up into teams we started. I really didn’t want to play so everytime someone went, I moved further to the back of the line.
I kept this up during the whole class period and didn’t have to do anything, besides walk around, today.
After PE I slipped my clothes back on and left.
Leighton was waiting for me by the gym door .”Ella,I know we had a rocky start in the locker room earlier but I really think that we’ll be good friends”
“I think not,” I said continuing to walk down the hall.
“And why is that?” She asked me.
“Because you’re a mean girl, and I hate being around mean people because bullying upsets me.”
“What? How am I a mean girl?”
“Look,If I answer that then I’ll be being mean,” I said.
“I’m not mean! And I’ll prove it to you.” She stopped some girl in the hall. ”Hey do you think that I’m mean?”
The girl quickly nodded her head and ran away. I just gestured my hand to the girl running away and then I turned and walked away as well.
“Wait, if I prove to you that I’m not mean, will you sit with me at lunch?”
“Sure, wait, why do you want me to sit with you so bad?”
“Because, you look nice and like I said, I think we’ll be good friends. I like to make new friends.” She said with a smile.
I find that hard to believe.
“Plus,” she added, “ I’ve heard that you’re awesome from some people around school.”
“Since when am I awesome to anyone here?” I asked.
She shrugged her shoulders and said, “I honestly don’t know.”
“Okay well, I have to go but you should work on not being mean” I said before I walked away again.
“Kay!” She called after me.
I wondered if she would be able to prove that she wasn’t mean. From what I’ve seen, it’s gonna be really hard for her.
