A cold breeze entered the room. Ughh. Why am I sitting right next to the window? I dug my face into my cross arms on my desk . It's too cold outside. I hate fall. Winter is better.

"Why is the window open?" I groan.

"Fresh air is good for you, brother," my younger brother, Papyrus, exclaimed, "and why are you wearing shorts?"

"I was feeling a little short today."

Papyrus looked down at me with an annoyed look. I just looked back and winked. Even though I'm older, he's taller than me by a mile. Guess he got our dad's genes.

"And what's with the slippers?"

"They're comfy."

Papyrus scoffs and turns back away from me to the people he was talking to before. His "fancy" red scarf flies in the wind behind him. Why does he even wear that thing?

The cold sweeps in again and I get up to close the window. The yellow flowers sway in the wind. They look like they're starting to wilt. Good. I never like them anyways. I shut it close and plop back into my seat.

As bored as ever, I survey the room, looking for something interesting to think about. I practically sit in the back of the room, so I can see almost anything.

Alphys is the smartest student in our school. Even though she's smart, she's really awkward and geeky. She sits ahead of me, meddling with some science junk on her desk. Kind of interesting, but not enough to keep my attention.

Then the front classroom door suddenly opens slowly. The bell didn't ring yet, right? Everyone quickly rushes to there seats and tries to quiet down. The door opens enough to see a girl standing behind it. The whole class stares at the girl, then goes back to talking after realizing it wasn't the teacher.

I keep my focus on the door as it slightly opens more. Next to the girl is Toriel. I kind of know her. She has no classes with me, but we've talked once.

"Well this is your homeroom," I hear Toriel say, "Good luck! I'll see you at history."

"A new student!" Papyrus whispers next to me. "I must befriend them!" He then took out paper and a pencil and started to write something.

The girl silently walked past and sat behind me. Now to greet them with a warm joke.

I turn around with my elbow over the chair. My messy light brown hair hiding my eyes. I could still see her through it. She has a band-aid on her forehead covered by her bangs and an anxious look on her face.

"Hey. Don't you know how to greet a new pal?" I hold out my hand for her to shake. My sleeve covers my hand so they can't see the small whoopee cushion on my hand.

She reaches out and grabs my hand. The farting sound is quiet, but loud enough for the both of us to hear. As it started to end, I couldn't help but snicker.

"The old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. It's always funny."

The girl starts to smile and relax a little.

"I'm Sans. What's your name?"

As she starts to open her mouth to speak, the bell rings and our teacher barges into the room.

"Quiet everyone! Time for attendance!"

I turn back around and slouch in my chair. I didn't catch her name.

"Sans!"

"here"

Hey, I can see what name she responds to for attendance. As the names go by, I get concerned. The girl hasn't responded to a name yet and more than half of the names were called.

"Okay, now for morning announcements! Oh, yes? You in the back."

I turn around and see her raising her hand.

"You didn't call my name."

"Oh, I'm sorry. And what is your name?"

"Frisk."
