•Still Monday

•Time: 1:00pm

   

       After I tossed the clingy chick out of my bedroom I took my shower,put on my clothes and new clean J's, and got my keys so I could head out to work. Yeah that's right I do have a job! I could never be a bummy nigga who relies on the woman for money,that just ain't me. Yeap, and before you go thinking oh so he's a drug lord PAUSE, because your absolutely wrong. I work at a music store called Spin City. We sell the hottest new albums, old records, Any music you like we got it. My job sucks by the way. Don't get me wrong now, music is what my life revolves around but, my boss be trippin' at certain times of the month. He always complains about something, always bitching. See me, I don't bitch cuz' I ain't a bitch type of nigga. I'm more layed back and cool but once some one gets on my bad side, it's hard for them to get off.

     Anyway back to the topic at hand. I grabbed my keys off my kitchen counter, locked my front door, and went out to my car. I clicked my unlock button on my key ring and opened up the doors to my blue mustang. I saved up alot just to afford this lifestyle. I got in, buckeled up, and drove downtown in the direction of the Spin City building. I finally made it there and parked my car in one of the reserved parking spots for employees only. I got out my car,locked the doors, and went in to be greeted by Regina and Wayne my fellow co-workers.

"Wassup Lil Ant?" Wayne asked putting out his hand to dap me up.

     "Sup Wayne." I said dapping him up. I got in my spot behind the cash register while Regina stood beside me at her side of the other register mean muggin me. What the hell I do now?

See, Regina and I are really close. At one point we hooked up and yes we did have sex but, the thing is that we were both druck that night when that happened so we decided to forget all about it but, we became bestfriends after that. We tell each other everything and she's really a cool ass female. Regina is also extreamely attractive. Don't get me wrong she's very beautiful but, we're JUST friends and that's how it'll always be. She like my little sister and like I said we tell each other everything. I even told her about my mom and NO ONE else knows about that. I really do love this girl.

"Wassup RiRi?" I asked smiling and calling her by her nickname. She frowned and continued to ignore me.

"Ri, what's up with you? Why we on this silent treatment shit?“ I asked turning towards her and looking at her with concern.

       "Nothing. Wassup with YOU? Did you forget about our movie night....again August? She replied while putting on a fake smile and ringing up one of the customers.

I waited until she got done with her customer to address this situation. How could I have forgot again. Every Friday night Regina and I have our anual "movie night" just so we can spent a little time together as friends but, lately I've stood her up twice in row.  It ain't like I was doing it on purpose, but things always coming up. Like females showing up at my door trying to f--

    "So, what's your lame excuse this time August?" She asked dryly. She only calls me August when she's really upset so I know I need to make this right.

"Ri, I'm sorry. I just forgot. I don't have an excuse but, I am going to make it up to you." I said.

“How?" She asked still trying to sound upset. Regina can never stay mad at me for long.

       "You know that new restaurant Steak and Shake, the one that you've been begging me to go to? Well I was thinking that mabye---

“EEEEEP, REALLY ANT!?! YOUR REALLY GONNA TAKE ME. YAYYY. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!“ She squealed jumping up and down and screaming in my ears. Some of the customers gave us weird looks but, we just ignored them.She smiled at me and kissed all over my cheeks.

      “Girl, calm down. Yea, we can go next friday if that's cool with you.“ I said smiling at her. It makes me happy when my lil sis is happy.

“Perfect!“ She said still smiling.

I'm not gonna mess this up this time, I swear.
