You couldn't believe it. That couldn't have happened. That didn't happen... It couldn't have!
It had been at least a few days after the 'accident',well at least that's what the police had deemed it. You told them everything but they didn't seem to believe you, saying they had no evidence. You couldn't do anything to sway their decision but... It still aggravated you.
While all the remaining students began to leave jack ran up to you and threw his arms around your waist.
"good jesus... I'm so sorry... Are you okay?" his voice was calming and his smile was soothing, completely different from his normal attitude. You open your mouth to speak but all that comes out is a sob, and you cry into his shoulder. He held you close and played with your hair. "hey..." he lifts your chin looks into your eyes "look. Let's go to my house and try to get your mind of things... Kay?" all you can do is attempt to muster a smile and nod. So he grabs your hand and the pair of you walk out the gate.
