Tomorrow will be better.Joe's POV:
I'm restless. My head is spinning and these cigarettes aren't calming me. She wanted to know when I started smoking "cancer." I can't even say I know. All I know is that every time she walks out of my life and appears again; I get insanely stupid. The tv next door blared as if someone is trying to block something out. I want to hide in the sound and block her out. It's so easy for her to forget me; the spark is gone. We don't even have a dying flame. She giggled, even looked you in the eyes. That's something.
Nothing worth trying to ignite. It would take moonshine, and a lighter, with her initial etched in it, to set this on fire again. Wouldn't it?
