Chapter 2

The pink kit and her new friend, the grey and black winged kit looked around frantically "What's going on?" the little kitten meowed

"There's a clan gathering. Firestar is going to decide you and your new friend's names. He doesn't normally choose names but you both don't come from this clan so he's deciding it." her new mother meowed

The little pink and purple winged kit looked at her new friend "You're not from this clan either? Finally, someone who understands me!"

"Well, I've been here a few days- I mean, sunrises and I don't really remember my parents much. I actually kind of like it here. Don't worry, you'll get used to it." he responded

The queens made her and her friend go out of the nursery and into the clearing. "Ok, so when Firestar asks you to go up there, you and you friend go up to where he will stand beside the Highrock."

"Now as most of you know, there are two new kits in our clan. Their parents do not live in this clan and have a hard enough time living by themselves without kits to take care of. Also, their parents weren't sure what their twoleg owners would think of a cat with wings." Firestar said

The two kits looked at eachother, both of them nervous and a little bit worried

Firestar continued "So they left their kits in our care. We will give them the same kindness and respect we would give any kit, but first they need names. Berryshine, please send the kits up here."

Berryshine said to the kits first "You'll be fine. Just walk up to where Firestar is and he will give you names."

The pink and purple kit looked at her friend again "Might as well." she and her friend then walked up to where Firestar was beneath the Highrock.

"Now I know you two might feel weird being in this new, strange place, but over time you will get used to calling it your home." he signaled for the grey and black winged kit to stand up first "From this day on, you will be known as Spiritkit. We welcome you to ThunderClan." he then signaled for the pink and purple winged kit to stand up "From this day on, you will be known as Rainbowkit. We welcome you to ThunderClan."
