Cry's Perspective
My eyes flutter open as I find myself floating in the air. My eyes widen as I examine my surroundings. I'm floating in some sort of cylinder hallway. The walls are dark blue with light blue lines etched all throughout the hall. 'Where am I?'
"This is the Cyberverse." My voice says out of no where. I gasp and look around to see where he is, but I can't find him. "This has been my home for eight years, Cry. Eight years!!! And you know what's been keeping me here, Cry? You! You've had me trapped inside your stupid computer for all of these years! Now that I've managed to escape, I've come for revenge. I've already infected the virtual world with my viruses, but I want to go further. Now it's time for your world to pay, and no one can stop me since you and your friends are going to be stuck in the virtual world." My voice explains with a cackle.
"Who are you?!" I growl, looking around frantically. "Call me, Virus." He laughs before my surroundings begin to disintegrate into pixels. "What's going on?!" I ask fearfully. "You're entering the virtual world, Cry." He says.
Suddenly, I feel myself begin to plummet to the ground. I scream and flail my arms around until I hit the ground with a thud. I groan in pain as I slowly sit up and look around. 'I'm outside?' I look up from the bright blue sky I fell from to the grassy green ground I fell on.
I stand up and look around with an eyebrow raised. 'I'm in some sort of clearing...' I walk around aimlessly, slightly confused on what I'm supposed to do. 'Virus said something about my friends being here, so my first priority should be to find them, but how?' I scratch the back of my head thoughtfully. I make my way into a strange forest. The trees are taller and brighter than the ones back at home, and I've never seen any of these flowers before. 'Where am I?'
Suddenly, I find myself on a dirt road, the sound of horse hooves growing closer. A horse drawn chariot comes into view, a man dressed in fine clothes holding the reins. My eyes sparkle with a glimmer of hope as I wave the man over. He spots me and steers his horse over. "Peculiar seeing a young man without his steed out here in these woods. Who might you be, young traveler?" The man asks with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, um, I'm Cry. Do you know where we are?" I respond, confusing the man. "We're in Woodberry Forest. I just came from Woodrock Village." He answers, gesturing to the path behind him.
'I wonder if any of my friends are in the village?!' "Hey friend, while on your way here from the village, did you see anyone that didn't seem to act or dress like you or the townspeople?" I ask with hope lacing my words. He ponders for a moment before snapping his fingers. "Yes! I think I spotted a young man around your age wondering around the village! He wore an attire strangely similar to yours, but his top was brown. Why do you ask?" The man tells me. A smile creeps its way onto my face as I imagine Scott's goofy face, his brown hoodie complimenting his eyes. "Thank you friend! Which way to the Woodrock Village?!" I exclaim, ignoring his question prior to my own. "You're welcome, young sir. Just follow the dirt path and you'll be there in no time~"
Without another word, I run as fast as I can down the dirt path, the thought of seeing a familiar face racing through my mind. The trees and greenery begin to disappear as I near my destination. As the town comes into view, I stop to admire it. The tall, futuristic buildings tower over the skyline. The sun has begun to set perfectly behind the city, creating an orange outline around the buildings. 'It's beautiful, but I don't have time to admire the scenery. I need to find Jund!'
(It's been awhile since I've updated this, but here it is <3 I hope it was worth the wait! Hopefully, I'll have the next one up soon~)
