Meeting The New Bodyguard

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"I quit! I can't handle her anymore!"

I quietly read my book as my bodyguard says these words. Not long after, my father walks in.

"(Y/N). We need to talk"

I continued reading as I flipped a page.

"(Y/N) I am talking to you!"
He slaps the book away from my grasp. I gave a big sigh

"What do you want?"

"Did you not realize that one of the best bodyguards gave up on you?"

"Oh really? I didn't notice." I answered bluntly.

Hmph. Finally, that witch quit. She didn't like me anyway.

"Well, she just walked away and it's only been a week! This is the 13th bodyguard so far!"

Well, it's not like I need a bodyguard. I can handle myself perfectly on my own.

"I just don't understand why they're quitting. . . " he looks away.

Well . . .

I really didn't need one, but ever since my mother died, my father took this as a threat that the people who murdered my mother wanted the whole family to be killed. So he hired the best of the best pro hunters to be my bodyguard.

2 years ago . . .

"My name's Saigon and I will be your bodyguard from now on. It's a pleasure serving you Miss (Y/N)"

Tch. He's just gonna be the same as the others.

"Well sweetie, Saigon will be with you 24/7 from now on. Be on your best behavior. I'll leave you be." Then father just walked out of the room, leaving me with Saigon.

It was quiet for a while until

"Saigon?"

"Yes, Miss (Y/N)?"

"I challenge you to a match against me."

" Wh-what? B-but Miss. I can't do that. Your fatheー"

"I don't care what my father told you. He hired you to follow me. So, no buts, no excuses. Get ready."

And after that, every bodyguard I get. They quit after I challenge them.

Some accept the challenge but end up losing in the end.

"(Y/N)... (Y/N)!"

My thoughts were back to the present as the old man called me.

"Yes, father?"

I really hoped he gives up on finding me a bodyguard. . .
But he didn't.

"You meet your new bodyguard tomorrow at dawn. I don't know what you're doing but be on your best behavior. He might be the only one suited for our name to be your bodyguard."

Tch. That old man. . .

4:15 pm

I walk around the garden and I spot my favorite flowers.

"Ahh~ My Plumerias look so pretty as always."
