Am I to late

I sit in the living room after my lunch in with the girl's waiting for Edward to bring CJ home. I was planning on talking to him today and tell him how I feel I have to it is eating away at me not to know if he feel's the same.

Just then I hear a car pull up to the house and I hurry to the door. As I open it CJ rushes in and Edward gives me her backpack of things. "Be a good girl for mom, CJ?" he says to my daughter and she turns around and comes back and hugs and kisses him. "I will daddy" she say's my heart flutters every time I hear her say that. 

I turn back to Edward and see the happiness dancing in his eyes as he looks at my mini-me. "Uh Edward do you have a minute to talk," I asked him hesitantly, he looks up at me and frowns looking back at his car. "Actually now isn't a good time, I've got to run maybe we can chat tomorrow," he says turning and heading back to his car. 

I watch him leave and see the reason why he is in such a hurry. In his passenger seat sit a very beautiful woman about five years younger than me. My heart sank a little still hoping that she may be just a friend or relative. 

I shut the door and turn to my daughter who is now sitting in front of the TV watching her favorite show this week. "CJ who was that in the car?" I asked her, she turned to look at me, "Oh that's daddy's new lady friend," she says, "Oh? is she nice?" I asked her, "Yea so far Daddy just picked her up on our way here and said something about going out somewhere," she said then turned back to her show. My heart sank all the way to the bottom of my stomach when she said those words.

A little while later I had CJ bathed and tucked in bed by the time Rose and Lilly got home from their dinner date with Emmett. I was sitting in the living room when they came through the door. "Hey, Bell's how was your night?" Emmett asked as he carried a sleeping Lilly towards the stairs. "Just great, hope you all had a good night?" I asked trying to cover up my hurt that was in my body edging to come out, but got busted by my sister she heard it she turned and gave me a look that said we need to talk, I nodded and mouthed later to her and the look she gave me next said, you will talk tonight.

They disappeared up the stairs and into Lily's room. A few minutes later Emmett came down and headed for the door. "Well good night Bell's see you at work tomorrow," He say's with a wave and was out the door. 

As soon as I heard his car leave the driveway, Rose came down the stair's in her pajama's and sat on the couch next to me. "Spill" She says, I turn to look at her, "Edward has a new girlfriend" I said, she looked confused at first, "how do you know?" she asked, "I saw her when he dropped off CJ this evening, he didn't tell me about her he just hurried out of here, so I asked CJ about her and she said that she was her Daddy's new lady friend and that he picked her up on their way here saying that they were going somewhere tonight" I said Rose reached up and wiped a tear off my cheek that I didn't know was there.

"Rose, I'm too late, I waited to long" I said as I started to cry more, she wrapped her arms around me and was trying to calm my crying, "Shhh, sissy, it's OK, I'm sorry sis, maybe it's not what it seems" She says, "Or maybe it is, he probably got tired of waiting on me and decided that I was a waste of his time" I said and wiped my face.

"Bella, don't say that your never a waste of time" She started. "I don't want to talk about it anymore I'm going to bed we have to work in the morning," I said and head up the stairs before she could say anymore. I was just feeling sorry for myself. I crawled into bed and cried myself to sleep.

               The next morning I got up and got ready for my day like any other day. I went and got CJ up and got her ready to go over to Mom and Leah for the day. We walked downstairs hand and hand and found Rose and Lily already in the kitchen eating breakfast. I quickly made CJ her plate and fixed myself one as well as a cup of coffee.
