Rest

Other than wondering how I was going to walk, I was also

wondering where we would rest.  Fog looked extremely

tired, and I didn't want to lose someone else too.  I looked

down at my leg once again and sighed, wishing I could

come with her and survive.  I looked up at Fog.

"You need to go.  Find shelter.  I'll be fine.  I can look

                   after myself." I told her.

                                  Fog's POV:

The raptor that I had found was now telling me to run

away and leave her behind, and I didn't like leaving

raptors behind.  I looked at her leg, and knew right away

she wouldn't be able to walk anywhere.  It seemed as if

the bone was beyond broken.  I realized that I needed to

carry her to shelter, but I was too small to carry anything.

The older raptor blinked at me and turned into a girl,

                 startling me.

"Didn't you hear me the first time?  You need to leave and

survive!" The girl said to me.  I looked at her one last time

and got an idea.  I placed my head under her arm and lifted

her up.  It hurt like hell, but at least she could come with me.

                  Echo's POV:

I shrieked as Fog pulled me up, not knowing what her intentions

were.  She seemed to be trying her best to hold me up, and it was

working.  I realized right away what she was doing.

"Do you not know the definition of go and survive?"

I snapped at her, leaning on my good foot.  Fog just blinked at me,

beginning to walk towards the visitor's center.  All I could smell in

the air was smoke from the grill next to me.  The grill that Delta

was thrown into.  I walked along with Fog, trying to ignore the

smell of my burnt sister.  Trying not to remember...

About an hour later, we arrived in the middle of the woods.

We had found a cave and decided to stop there for the night.

Fog looked at me and chirped, which met that she wanted

me to talk about myself.  I sighed.

"It's a long story...  I was created in a lab by scientists who

we're mixing human DNA with dinosaur DNA.  I was one

of the four Velociraptors created for an attraction.  The

other three were my sisters.  Blue was the Beta.  We

fought over the title once, and Blue won, giving me

my scar and my offset jaw.  Delta was her second-

in-command, and the strategic one.  She was the

one who helped plan the attack.  And last, but

definitely not least, was Charlie.  Charlie-" I paused,

feeling a lump form in my throat.  "Charlie was the

baby.  She was so young, and she looked up to me.

And what do I do to repay her?  Run away and think

she would be safe in the real world.  She's dead, and

so is Delta.  I watched Delta die, and did nothing.  I

should have died, yet I'm still alive." I paused, letting a

few loose tears fall.  "I ran from everything, but I won't

let anyone else down." I then wrapped Fog into a tight

hug, watching her fall asleep.  I promised to protect her,

no matter the cost.  Not even if it was my life.
