"Next comes the hard part..." The man said."What could be worse than this?..." I muttered.
"Surviving the wild."
Wait... What?! Surviving the wild?! Is he insane or something?!
Well... He kinda is...
"Your team is team BIRE." He informed us. "You four will work together to survive this tournament. Last team standing wins."
Oh, so survival.
He walked over to four people I had never seen before.
"You four are team ABRN."
He then walked over to a team containing a small, grey raptor.
Fog.
"You four are team FNKY."
He named thirteen other teams before putting us all in 'team cells', as he called them.
"What now?" Blue asked.
"How about we fix your leg?" Rexy said to me.
"Fine. Go right ahead." I grumbled.
"Really?"
"Go on before I say no."
She shrugged.
I'm not gonna explain the next part, because it took forever and was extremely painful. To sum it up, my leg was healed from some helpful people.
"I thought you said it wouldn't hurt!" I snapped, arms crossed.
"I had said nothing of the sort. I never even mentioned how much it would hurt, Echo." Rexy said.
"Whatever..."
There was a loud grinding sound as a trooper opened our gate.
"Time to practice for the games."
"What games?" Blue asked.
"Are you familiar with the Hunger Games?"
"Ya. Why?"
"You should be so lucky..."
Blue stopped.
"Oh SHIZ!" Rexy yelled.
"What does it mea-?" I began.
"Time to train for the tournament." The man snapped.
"Let's go!" Indigo said to us. "I don't have all day to wait for you three to get up and at it!"
"Can you give me a freaking second?! I need to kinda walk on my leg!" I snipped at her.
I stood up slowly, not used to walking on two feet again. I limped out of the cage and into the hall.
He lead us into a huge pit with all kinds of obstacles: Logs, rivers, huge trees, and a wasps' nest. Actually, all kinds of bug nests.
"Fog!" I yelped, running over to the young raptor. She trilled happily and ran over to me.
"I missed you!"
She churred and nuzzled me happily. I could tell she was excited that we found each other again. And, for only a moment, I thought that the world would be right once again, where we all were still four immature sisters waiting to be shown to the public, and not falling apart because half of us were dead, and the other two were kidnapped by InGen. For that moment, I felt like I had hope that we would survive this.
Blue's POV:
That was bad. Echo had to kill Fog in order to get out of the tournament. She couldn't kill her for several reasons:
1. She loved Fog.
2. She would never forgive herself.
3. They have a deeper bond than they knew about, and I wanted them to figure it out.
