"Hey there, the names Korbyn. Korbyn Jumping Eagle Yeah no need to say it. I already know what your thinking." "What the HELL kind of name is Jumping Eagle?" "I didn't make it up or anything like that. My Grandparents are Sioux and even though I don't much look it, that's where it comes from. But you don't really have to worry about that. Just call me Korbyn."

"And believe it or not...." "The names not the most unusual thing about me." "You see, ever since I was a little I've been able to... well, see things..." "But it's not that bad I guess. I mean, over the years  I've learned to cope with it pretty well." "Though sometimes it's unavoidable." "Despite the occasional incident , I had never had too much trouble because of my... umm 'ability'." 'Well, that is however, until recently. You see, it all started going down hill after Grandmother passed away." "She left me this weird old book that I had never seen before. And honestly, I've been too afraid to open it. I know that sounds silly, but things have only gotten worse ever since I took it back to school with me."

"So even as guilty as it makes me feel, I've kept it shoved under my bed. However, recently I've been getting hit with these sudden urges of curiosity." "Like if I don't just look already, something bad will happen. So honestly, I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hold out." "But it's only a dusty old book. And it was my GRANDMA's. So really, what's the worst that can happen?"

~VOOOOOOOOOM~

Once I opened the book, there's this large blast of bright blue light that's blasts right into my eyes and I scream in pain as the light hit's my eyes.

"AAAAUUUGGGHHH !" "Woah!"

I walk backwards to get away from the book and trip over some other books, landing on my ass. While I'm distracted with my eyes, the light of the book starts to dim down and then disappears with a sound dying down with it until it disappears as well. It echoes throughout my bedroom.

~HMMMMMMM~ ~hmmmmmmm~

My eyes are closed and I put my hands over them.

"What the HELL was that?!" "Oh man, my eyes feel funny."

I remove my hands and open my eyes to reveal there being a glowing bright white surrounded by a bright blue aura, covering every single part of my vision.

"W-Wha" "What's Happening?"

Meanwhile...

"My Lord, the new seer. She has finally awakened."

"Excellent. Bring her to me."

I start rubbing my eyes to make the light go away and trying to calm myself down.

"Did that really just happen?" "The book..." "It's not glowing any more..."

the light fades away from my eyes and I begin to stroke a strand of my hair, doing so to try and calm myself down.

"Was it...really ever glowing at all?" "Oh man...I'm literally losing it here! I've got to get some sleep..."

I walk over to my bed and sit down on it.

"Maybe I really should go see that doctor Mom's been talking about...."
