I slipped the bulky headset over my eyes. My fingers glided to tap a lime green button on the right side of the goggles. The screen showed a flash of white, and off I went.

My vision cleared to reveal a magnificent forest, filled with trees, flowers, animals, and best of all, this forest was said to be magical. I spotted movement from the corner of my eye. A rabbit. I reached behing myself and gripped my beginner bow. It was way past time for an upgrade. I grabbed a feather-tipped arrow from my sachel (excuse my spelling) and aligned it with the bow. My left arm was outstretched, my hand gripping the oak tightly. My right hand rested with the arrow between my middle and pointer finger. I pulled back, my hand now near my face. I aimed just above the small white rabbit. My dark emerald colored eyes closed as I released the string.

"Thwack!" I straightened my posture and strung my bow back around my body. I squinted to see if I had actually made the shot. To my surprise, I did! I galloped over and removed the arrow embedded in the rabbit's skin. "I'll be eating a nice dinner tonight." I grabbed the legs with one hand and and the arms with the other and wore the rabbit around the back of my neck as I headed home.

I tripped over a rock. I should really move that someday. I had arrived at my home...more like cave. I walked through the vines covering the entry. Inside my cave was a gathering of moss that I called my bed, a slab of wood used as a countertop supported by more wooden beams. And a pot to prepare food. There wasn't much, but I had what I needed.

I set the deceased rabbit onto the 'counter', grabbed my pot, and went outside to gather water from a nearby pond. The cave was located on the outskirts of the (said to be magic) forest, so larger than life trees surrounded the area. The pond was only a few yards away from the mouth of the cave, providing me some convienience (nailed that spelling). I knelt down by the pond's side and dunked the pot underwater for a few seconds. The pot was full of water when I brought it back up. I carried the metal bowl back into the cave.

After a bit of gathering, I had started a small fire from sticks and twigs. I used arrow heads as knives to skin and cut up the rabbit. I had also gathered some mushrooms, carrots and other vegetables to use in the soup I was making. I dropped the rabbit pieces into the pot and hung the pot over the fire. While that cooked, I chopped the vegetables. My hands tossed them into the boiling water. Now I just had to wait.

I glanced around the room, looking for something to do. I then realized I forgot to cut a vegetable. Wait, this wasn't a vegetable I'd seen before. It was rather small, the size of a blueberry. The sphere was red, with particles of sparkles flying around it. I looked away from the red vegetable to check on the soup. It was almost boiling out of the pot! I quickly moved it onto the ground to cool. I'd investigate the vegetable in the morning.

I carved out some wood to use as a bowl. I poured a generous amount into my bowl and sipped. Pretty soon I was full and tired. I put the bowl on the counter and began to undress myself. First I unarmed myself of my weapons. I undid the clasp at the neck of my dark, silver-lined cloak. My light brunette hair flowed down to my mid-thigh area. I took off my thigh-high leather boots too. Now all that was left was my strapless top, made with the same type of leather material that my boots were, except the top was emerald green, and my silver skin-tight leggings. I changed into a flowey night gown and settled into bed.

I opened my eyes to see a black screen. I flipped the mask up. Man, I love virtual reality.
