Hey guys!!, so this week I just finished reading 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' and I thought it was such a good book!!!. I usually don't read books because I have Wattpad 🤘🏼, but lately I just can't find books on it. I read Harry styles book and I have a felling I've read them all, I actually don't read the book unless it's completed.
So the other day my sister bought the book and said that I would really like it, so I started it to read like a couple of pages but I got a bit confused so I instead watched the film. So then I started to read the book. It is a heavy book but at the same time I thought it was amazing!!! So I'm going to write down my favourite quotes from it and why!
'Baked like a fucking cake' it's quite explanatory. I think it was more the context and how he rarely curses that it stood out.
'He's a wallflower. You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand' this is when I understood the meaning of the title. It's kinda like 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and how Atticus symbolises a mockingbird. That's when I really connected and got the book more as I went on In the book after that was said.
'When they asked the first brother why he didn't drink, he said that after he saw what it did to his father, he could never bring himself to even try it.' This really touched me! So I never want to drink and when I saw this in the book I shed tears because this is exactly my reason also and for someone else to be In the same boat made me feel okay.
'I would die for you, but I won't live for you' I really liked this quote because it's so true. Only you can live your live but if I need to protect you I have the power to!
'I am very interested and fascinated how everyone loves each other, but no one really likes each other'. That is so damn true!!!
'What's your favourite book?
The last one I read.' I think this was my favourite because that is me so much!! I can't remember every single book I read so I just say the last one! I think I laughed so much when I read this. 😂🙈.'Flaunt it baby, flaunt it'. All I'm saying is 'Nothing' 😂🤘🏼.
'I really think that everyone should have a watercolours, magnetic poetry and a harmonica' I just thought this was random but cute!
And the last one!!!
'Downtown. Lights on buildings and everything that makes you wonder. And in that moment, I swear we were infinite'. You need to have read the book to feel how powerful the quote is. ❤️💞.
I really hope you liked this weird chapter. I loved the book so much and I really hope ye read it or saw the film! I hope i didn't ruin it for you. I would love if ye could tell me what your favourite part of the book is or your favourite quote or character!! 😍❤️.
Love Laur xoxo 😘
