Chapter 5: Forgive and Forget and Then Get In Trouble

When I awoke, I saw Sophie taking my vitals. She looked peaceful doing what she wanted to do. "Clarissa Katie Johnson! What did you do?" I looked over at my sister standing beside my bed. I looked around and saw that we were thankfully still in the hotel room. "Answer me little girl."

"Shut up Gabby. I'm a grown woman who is happily married and with children."

"Children?" I flinched. I never told her what that errand was with Mr. Limburg on Wednesday. Thankfully Jonathan showed her the ultrasound pictures. "What the hell! There are two of them?"

"Stop shouting. Sophie, let me up." She backed off. "I told Jonathan everything." Two sets of jaws dropped. "What? Our kids are gonna take up this profession. Plus his cousin is our objective Gabby." If possible, their jaws dropped lower. "Also Jonathan is a witch." Now only Gabby's jaw dropped lower since Sophie knew already.

"No more surprises okay. Now give me the shortened version." I told Gabriella everything minus the details involving Sophie talking and her curse of a talent. Of course she had to get everyone on Skype so we could have an official family meeting.

Justin: "Okay. What is going on up there? Do we have to pull you two back?"

Carrie: "Shh Justin. Jonathan's there."

Me: "It's okay mom."

Christopher: "No. It's not okay Clarissa."

Elizabeth: "Hi Sophie."

Sophie: Waves

Gabriella: "Everyone please. Clary has an announcement to make. Clary?"

Everyone looks at me. I nervously stand up still in my mourning dress that shows off my little baby bump. They gasp.

Me: "Everyone, I'm pregnant."

Mom, dad, Christopher, Elizabeth: Gasps

Me: "With twins."

Mom, dad, Christopher, Elizabeth: Gasps

Me: "And I'm also three months along."

Then they all started yelling together. I'm glad that Sophie, Gabby, and Jonathan already knew. I was getting a headache from four people yelling. I don't wanna know what I would get from seven people yelling and a disapproving glare. When they finally stopped yelling, all, or almost all, secrets came out. The only secret that didn't come out was Sophie's. Then we all logged off for the night. This was far from over but at least now Jonathan can stop thinking that I'm cheating and am just making well thought up excuses on where I'm going.

After Jonathan finally left, Gabriella and I had a mini meeting of our own since Joseph knew of our relationship with Jonathan. We had soon agreed to not change anything in our routine or our cover story. Jonathan had also taken off of work for a little while longer. He will be staying in the area with us for the rest of our mission. He also agreed to look for someone that his mom knew to teach him how to use his magic. He is also getting a little help from some books at his parents house.

That is also something he has been keeping from me. He owns his parents house here. So instead of actually being at a hotel, he has been staying in his parents house. Secrets. I need them all to just go away. We had some cup noodles and a salad for dinner to Sophie's dismay. She thinks I should stick to a strict diet regimen. The only thing that made her happy was the fact that I don't eat any dinner without having a salad. I also have a salad with my lunch most of the time. I make them myself and never ever buy a salad. It gives me the creeps to have someone I can't see, wash the veggies and put them in some random order. I also bring a little container of dressing. We soon went to bed after eating.
