The next morning was slightly better. I only woke up with mild nausea. According to my clothes I'm starting to show. According to articles I read about being pregnant on my break yesterday, it's too early for me to be showing. We arrived on time for work despite my clothing problem this morning. "Mr. Limburg, this is my cousins daughter, Sophie." He stuck his hand out to shake her hand. She shook it.

"Nice to meet you Sophie." She just mildly smiled back. He looked at her confused. "Doesn't she talk?"

"No sir. She has never made a peep. Not even after she was born." He nodded looking a bit perplexed.

"So, how are you this morning Twila dear?"

"I'm fine sir. Thank you for asking."

"From the looks of it, you will be needing a new wardrobe soon. How far along did you say you were?" He looked to be examining my belly. I wrapped my arms around my small belly bump protectively.

"Um, just a week and two days over three months now. Why?"

"You might be expecting multiples. Have you had an ultrasound yet." I nodded. I had one when I was just three months pregnant." I'll take you to my personal physician. I don't have anything on my schedule til five." I looked at Sophie and she nodded.

"Okay." I told Gabby that I was stepping out with Mr. Limburg and that I was bringing Sophie with me. She knew that was code for 'find out what you can'. We rode in his town car. Who still has these. I scoffed and then he asked what I was scoffing at. Then we got into a huge conversation about old cars and which were better. Sophie pointed out, though not with words, that the Nissan Armada's were totally awesome.

"How do you understand her without her using words or drawings? It is absolutely mind numbing."

"I look at her facial expressions and read them. Then there is also the fact that she motions a lot with her hands. I learned at a very young age to read peoples faces." He nodded and we soon arrived at his doctors office.

"Is Dr. Carter in?"

"Yes sir. Let me just let him know that you are here." She typed some kind of code into a landline phone and out came a doctor that looked almost exactly like Dr. Rowland. It took everything in me not to call out the family doctors name. That could possibly give me away if they are related.

"Ah, Dr. Carter. May I introduce Twila Edison and her cousin Sophie Edison." He nodded at us he went to talk to Limburg.

"So what can I do for you today Joseph?"

"Ms. Twila here needs an ultrasound. She has no clue about how a pregnant body works and she claims to be only three months along." The doctor nodded.

"Hey there little Sophie, want to help me get things ready for your cousins ultrasound?" Sophie nodded hesitantly. Then they walked away with me and Limburg following them.

"He's really good with children. He tries to persuade them all to become doctors." I laughed.

"I don't think that will be too big of a challenge for him with little Sophie. She wants to become a doctor. She is fascinated by the medical field." We both shared a laugh and went into the room that the doctor and Sophie went into.

"Alright Twila. Hop up onto the bed and lay back." I did that. Today I wore a pair of light gray dress pants and a black sweater over a white camisole so when he asked me to pull up my shirt a little, it took me a moment. "Okay so here we go. This might be cold." He put on the cold gel and then started spreading it around with the stick looking thing. "Ah, here we go. Yup, she is indeed three months pregnant. And you are indeed expecting twins. Congratulations to the new mommy and the lucky dad." He looked at Mr. Limburg when he said that. I freaked out then.
