Katniss POV

"Indirectly yes"

"Directly yes"

"Yes"

It's been two days and that's still all I can think about. Peeta said it was my own fault I was in here.

"Yes"

"Yes! See you did it baby!" Peeta exclaims once I get my suitcase, which is only half filled with my clothes. The other half is filled with whatever Peeta put in there.

"I guess I did, I just feel so..." I trail off not knowing how I feel, let alone the words to describe it. I guess I feel scared but relived that I actually made it without being caught. The anxiety I once felt whilst boarding the plane has now turned into adrenaline of not believing that I actually did that but quite proud that I went through with it.

The only emotion I know of right now, well that I'm certain of is that I feel proud of myself and slightly happy. Not happy that I just smuggled whatever is in there but the look that Peeta's giving me is making me happy. He looks so proud of me and that makes my heart flutter.

I also feel quite... bad, dangerous. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

"If I know anything about you, you'll be feeling bad about what you did" Peeta tells me, interrupting my thoughts.

I nod slightly. It's always baffled me how Peeta seems to know what I'm feeling, sometimes even before I know myself.

He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me to him so my chest is against his, "Bad can be good you know" he whispers in my ear before kissing the outer shell down until he gets to my lobe, "I like bad" he murmurs before sucking on my lobe.

I bite my lip to keep a moan from coming out my mouth I mean we are in the middle of the airport baggage claim.

My hand hasn't left the handle of my suitcase and when Peeta pulls away I notice my knuckles have turned white at how hard my grip is. He seems to follow my gaze and notice because he then takes the case from my grip.

He takes my hand in his and tells me he's already called a cab.

Peeta's been here for the past week sorting out some business but he packed my case just before he left. He's already got a hotel sorted for me and him so at least I don't have the added pressure of that.

Once we get into the taxi and start driving he unbuckles my seatbelt and pulls me onto his lap. His hand rests on my upper thigh and he starts to slowly stroke my skin.

"You should see this hotel babe, it's incredible, you would think it was for ten people not just two but it's not. It's all for us." He tells me.

I smile at his words before bringing my lips to his for the first time in over a week. His tongue enters my mouth moments later and I can't stop the small moan that comes out of my mouth. I wrap my arms around his neck and grip onto his hair with my right hand. I turn in my position so my knees are on the leather seats as I begin to straddle him, all whilst his hands move slowly down my back and eventually reach until my bum before squeezing it and pulling me even closer to him.

We're interrupted by the cab driver telling us that we're here. I feel my checks go red as I forgot for a brief moment that we were in company. The driver gets out of the cab to get the bags and I go to get off of Peeta's lap but instead he pulls me to him again, "Just wait until you see the bed" he tells me.

I get off of his lap and get out the car. Peeta goes over to the driver who is just pulling the suitcase out of the back of the car before telling him, "No don't touch that, I'll get it"

The driver thinks it strange but of course just nods politely and doesn't think another thing of it. If only he knew.

"Brainless go!"

I snap out of my thoughts and see Johanna sitting on her bed shouting at me.

"What?" I ask.

"Ugh did you not hear the announcement? All newbies are to go to the main hall to get assigned jobs"

"Oh right" I say before I get up in a hurry.

When I get to the main hall there are three tables set out with guards sitting behind each of them and three lines of new inmates standing waiting, for what I assume to be a job. There are of course guards standing at every corner of the room as well because this prison doesn't ever seem to be out of guards to put everywhere.

I stand in one of the queues and take a step forward as someone must have just left the line when I'm tapped on the shoulder. At first I think it must be Annie or that Finnick that I met and had lunch with but as I turn around I see that it is most definitely not them because I would've actually been happy to see them.

"So what are you asking for?" Peeta asks when I turn around to face him.

"It's prison Peeta, I don't think you can just ask for what job you want" I snap at him.

"Actually you can, they ask your skills then give you suggestions of which jobs to go for. Although between me and you, I think these jobs are a bit below your talent"

I narrow my eyes, "What's that supposed to mean?" I ask him but he just holds his hands up defensively and tells me that he meant nothing by it.

Why am I even standing having a conversation with him?

I step out of this queue to go to the other one when I'm shouted at by one of the guards, "Everdeen back in line!"

"I guess you're stuck with me" Peeta says with that annoying smirk on his face. I roll my eyes before taking my place back in the line.

The line goes by quickly and soon I'm at the guard. He asks me questions, one of them being what I am good at. I tell him I'm good with numbers and I can sing a little, to which I hear Peeta chime in behind me saying, "Oh she can sing amazingly"

The guard then tells me that I have the option of which job I want but when I look at them I like none of them. I guess Peeta was right. Fuck him.

I just tell him whatever one he thinks is best. The guard then goes on to tell me that the job I got will be posted on the notice board tomorrow.

I thank him before turning around and leaving the hall but before I do I turn around to see Peeta leaning over the guards desk and the guard has a smile on his face and is nodding his head whilst looking at me.

I swear what is Mellark up to now?
