At this new, low security jail, the clothing was not white, but orange. The schedule was not hectic, but laid back. The inmates were not women, but vastly men. At least, that's what the guard told me.

"Hey, just where the heck are you taking me, out of curiosity?" I sarcastically questioned from the backseat.

"The Unlucky Ducklings," was the rather cryptic reply back to me as I sat in yet another police car, waiting to be transfered. Confused as I was, speechless I stayed for a few moments, many questions in my mind.

"Hey seriously are you trying to mess with me or something? This is sick, haven't I gone through enough?!" I tried kicking the seat but his face said he was unaffected.

"Calm down, don't worry. It's the most suitable place for unlucky people like you," He snapped sarcastically. I was really pissed already, now he wants to add to it?

The squad car pulled to a stop in front of a white building. A gate slid out of the way when the guard placed his key card in a waiting slot. He held me by my arm tightly after he parked. He pulled me along behind him until we reached a gated courtyard of sorts.

"Someone like you really deserves to be locked up, not me." I said as tears dropped down my face. Two guards entered the courtyard and ushered away the first, the new ones taking hold of both of my arms.

"Move away! I can walk on my own..." I said forcefully as I pushed both of them away. I was not really the kind of person you would want to mess with. Despite my hands being held in the metal chain I still was able to move them away. After adapting to prison life in such a high security prison, I've hardened and dealt with some dangerous people. Hazel and Susan may have been kind, but most inmates were there for good reason.

I walked past them until I was right beside the first guard, who had yet to leave.

"You can't do this...Are you that heartless? Can't you feel that I don't belong here? Can't you do something for someone who was wrongly incarcerated like me?" I whispered.

"It's all none of my business... Oh here we are..." Coldly he ignored and sidestepped me.

I turned to the other two guards, who seemed just as menacing if not as burly as the first. They listened to my request of space and gestured to where I should walk, leading me into the white building and down a long hallway to a large wooden door. It seemed like a big room and on the top of the door was a sign with the title "The Unlucky Ducklings".

After a few seconds of the two guards and I staring at the door, one opened it and gestured inside. As soon as I crossed the threshold, the second shoved me in and locked the door behind me.

"Wait! No! You can't just leave me alone!" I held the doorknob and started shouting but no one was there to listen.

I was startled and shaken from my reverie when a loud and low voice called to me. I fell back on my arse and cursed in response.

"You're not alone here! Welcome!" said the man's voice from my back. I slowly turned around on the ground and saw 5 men. One could easily describe them as an old man, a cowboy, a nerd, a giant, and a teenage boy picking his nose.

"Gross," I shuddered. Women were much cleaner than these five grubby, dirty men.

"Here," The cowboy reached out his arm but I ignored it and stood up on my own. The cowboy harboured an obsession with everything brown. Brown hair, brown eyes, brown cowboy hat, brown boots, brown teeth. The only thing that wasn't brown was his dirty yet pale skin. He lowered his hand to his side but still held a massive grin on his face.

"Stupid!" he laughed maniacally and stuck his tongue out. He backed up to stand next to the nose digger, who was the shortest of the quintet but had amazing green eyes. He was thin and pale, just like the rest of them.

I needed to calm down and chill. Calm down and chill. Inhale, exhale. Was this what I got for being new? Deep breaths, I backed away until my heels hit the wall.

"Looks like you're really stupid." I turn to my right and see the bookworm comment, not giving me a glace. His gaze never departed from the book in his hand. Black hair, blue eyes and nerdy eyeglasses. And now that I gave him another glance from head to toe, he was very, very tall.

I looked back at the kid again and saw beside him the muscled giant. He was so huge and his head was bald, big and shiny. He looked like he stepped out of a WWE magazine.

"Hey-"

They walked away, both of them. Turned their backs and slunk into the depths of the room.

"Excuse me-"

Even that cowboy at the beginning. He guided the old man into the darkness.

"I told you, you're stupid."

The bookworm, again. He left as if nothing happened.

It was awkward for a moment in silence, I was standing all alone now. All of them went back to their previous positions as if I had never arrived. Wow, I really got a heartwarming welcome.
