"Why I am not home? Why I am working like a mazdur?" Luv complained as he juggled grocery bags in his hands.

He had hardly slept through night when his mother had woken him up and sent him with Rashmi to buy groceries. His protests of being tired and having a jetlag had hardly worked. So here he was, carrying groceries and sidhu for puja when Rashmi had thought of buying him some traditional clothes.

"Are you mad? Surya would buy something on my behalf. I don't have the energy or even a slightest interest to buy something I would wear only one time."

"Oh come on bhai." Rashmi had pleaded, "You must look handsome. I want every girl in opposition party ogle at you."

" Why?" He asked.

"Because they show too much attitude, bhai. You should have seen their snickering face in engagement when we were making noise. You would give them some distraction so we can show those babes what the Rathore's can do!"

"Seriously?" Luv was amused, "And whose idea is that!"

"Rhythm." Rashmi cooed, "And in addition, you need to impress Rhythm too. Do you know, she had never seen your picture in these eight years. We tried a lot but she just don't give shit about you. I mean she is your wife but she mocks us telling that you might be ugly like us."

"Rashmi, we are going. Just stop talking." Luv said. He could not keep track what that garrulous girl said. All he heard during their drive to showroom was Rhythm said that, did that or made fun of him.

Luv felt people were talking about Rhythm just to tease him; but his curiosity had already reached to its peak in these three days. Rhythm had not come back two days ago as he was informed and his cousins had hidden every single picture of her somehow. So he had to run his imagination on how she looked based on others description.

"Rhythm loves yellow. We need one yellow kurta." Rashmi had not stopped blabbering.

Luv shook his head in agreement, playing with her mobile as she went through showroom to look for other clothes. Luv had no desire to shop; so he let her buy whatever she wanted to buy. Her sister had good taste in fashion. Hence he was not worried much. Plus his wedding day outfit had already been purchased. Suddenly, Rashmi's phone biped.

"Bet your brother is a total bore. You are probably shopping alone. 😉" - Rhyth Bhabhs

Luv saw Rashmi at the other end of room. He scrolled down to read the conversation.
Rashmi just shared the information of their whereabouts and the previous conversation was deleted. Luv was disappointed.

"Try these." Rashmi came back with ten outfits in hand and he reluctantly went to trial room.

"Dekho dekho wo aa gayi.. " Surya hid his face womanly in a drape as Luv entered their room.

Luv raised his eyebrow and opened the cupboard to change, completely ignoring the noises Surya was making. He grabbed the first t-shirt he found and removed his shirt and pants. Surya made an irrelevant sound.

"Can you please stop it. Rashmi had been talking a day. My head is spinning." He stopped abruptly as he turned to scold Surya and found a girl smiling at him.

She was sitting beside Surya who was foolishly trying to raise his eyebrow. He stared at her and she winked.

"SURPRISE." Surya pointed in her direction.

"HI patidev!" The girl waved hand at him.

With that he heard his laughing of his cousins as they hurdled into his room. He was still standing shell shocked and stared her as they all hugged each other. She seemed to feel his eyes as she looked up and smiled once again.

That was the first time Luv Rathore saw Rhythm. He had imagined it to be memorable and epic like they show in movies. Instead it was just a simple turn to scold his brother and finding his wife sitting there instead. No guitars played and nothing moved slowly. He just stood there checking how much she resembled from her imagination. None he decided. Because he realized that all of his family members had played with him all along. Rhythm was not 5 ft 2 inch, a little chubby with grey eyes.

Instead he saw a girl who rolled her eyes and whistled at him as he changed.
