"I feel so worked up. I can't think straight! I need another one." With that Surya lit up his third cigar of night.

The Charsi just needs an excuse to smoke, Luv thought as he watched his brother puff out the grey circles of smoke one by one from his mouth. He has a strong urge to lecture his brother about 'smoking kills lungs'. But he had neither any energy left for the arguments nor it seemed relevant to do so, he already had his plate full. Plus his twenty one old years old brother could discriminate between good and bad on his own. It's just a phase, he had told him when he first found him smoking two weeks ago. His last year's exams had just completed and now he was waiting for results to come out, passing his days by hanging out with friends, partying and sleeping for hours.

"This is my last days of happiness. Once results are out, then my world will be crushed with reality and this big evil adult world will swallow me like churan goli and will never even burp." These were his words for reasonings. Surya was good with reasoning, but tonight his ability had failed him. They had rushed to their father an hour ago and he had just slammed the door at their faces, saying he did not want any arguments, Luv had two options and few hours to decide.

So, now at 3 AM they both were hanging out in their room's balcony, drinking tea and eating puris, kachoris and mathari.

"I don't understand. How can they take such childish decision!" Luv wondered aloud.

"Oh, they can. They are parents. They seem to think it's their duty to fix everything in their child's life according to their understanding of what is good for the child and what samaj would think. There is no room for your ideas." Surya gazed at the sky.

"But it's my life. And i don't have a single control over it. Can you imagine what that feels like." Luv bit his tongue as soon as the words were out. But his brother did not seem to be bothered by his words.

"No one understands it better than me. If I had a full control on deciding which field I wanted to go, I might have been graduating with painting as my major not jewellery designing."

"But that means you will inherit family business." Luv pointed out.

"That's another story." Surya sashayed, "It's about choices. I didn't got to do it, so I want to make sure you don't end up like me regretting. Not that I regret but it's just to sympathise with you. I feel at least you should get the chance."

"My chance went down in the gutter when the word marriage came out from our dear pappa's mouth."

"And we can't do anything about it. I am damn sure it's mom and dadaji's idea. Dad is not that stupid to come up with this kind of brilliant idea."

"Yeah dramas are spared for those two only. Can't just they be fair about all these?" Luv sighed.

"Oye fair & lovely, don't be so drama queen. Besides they will toh tell you ki kabhi na kabhi to shaadi karni hi hai, so what is the problem with doing it now." Surya threw away his remaining cigar out of the balcony and went for his cup of tea.

"On whose side are you?" Luv looked at his brother.

"I am on your side always. Even when you'll be wrong." Surya replied, "Just tell me how much desperate are you about going to that university of yours?"

"Full despo. That even katrina's pleading won't change my mind."

"Why would katrina will plead to a lanky guy like you! Luv please stop watching those movies. Now, if you are that much despo about studying US, then let me tell you or take it as an advise. Marry that damn girl. She won't be coming to US after you and it will save us from bickering from our own parents. Plus you won't be coming back for at least four years I guess. A compromise can save you whole ship from sinking."

Luv looked at his brother's incredibility for proposing marriage as their last option.

"Are you nuts? How can I marry to just get away?"

"Actually you should." Surya got off from railing and plopped himself on the big chair. "Saare subuto and gawaho ko madd-e-nazar rakhte, I don't think dad would accept anything rational now. And it doesn't matter what happens here after you leave."

"And what about the girl?" Luv demanded.

"Now what about her? I promise I will look after the girl's well-being. She would be part of the family and for her, everything would made easy. I am sure she will be fine. And even if something goes wrong, you can always blame dad."

There was an utter silence as both brothers focused on their snacks rather than the major issue for a while. Luv thought on his brothers words and knew he had already ran out of his other options. He had to do this compromise.

"Done.' He said breaking the silence, "I only hope this compromise don't ruin anything."

"It won't." His brother said, "Besides trees that don't bend with the wind, won't last the storm. Don't laugh, it's a good phrase."

At the same time, a 16 years old girl muttered the same lines in her mobile to her bewildered friend who could not believe she had agreed to marry at this age.

"What about laws? And what about you most importantly? You have lost your mind." She demanded in a shocked voice.

The girl laughed at her friend's hysteria.

"Ho come on, I am Rhythm Shekhawat. I'll have my way and will fulfil all my dreams and goals. No need to worry. It is just a compro. After the scandal I pulled, I need an alley to win over Mom and Dad."

"Win over!!" Shiba exclaimed, "By sacrificing yourself."

"Oh don't use those big words, will you!" Rhythm chuckled, "I am not the bakra they think they will have feast upon. It's just a marriage. Relax and enjoy. Everyone marries at some age. My turn came early. So what? Let me tell you, trees that don't bend with the wind, won't last the storm. And I think that this marriage will make the storm of my life vanish in a blink."
