Vanessa's cell phone began to buzz as she lazed around her living room. Kevin's name flashed on the screen and she let out a sigh. What could he possibly want now?

"Hello?" Vanessa answered.

"Hey childhood wrecker," Kevin's voice replied on the other line.

"Oh God," Vanessa mumbled under breath, "they told you?"

"Um, yeah, they did. What is wrong with you, Ness? You can't just tell two little girls something like that. Those stories are meant to be believed by kids...I mean, that's why they're kids."

Vanessa groaned, "I'm sorry, I really messed up. Do you want me to apologize to them?"

"I don't know, they both are really upset by it. They don't understand why you are the way you are, Ness," Kevin explained.

"I can't explain that either," Vanessa shook her head, "I really wish I could."

Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes which she quickly batted away. She had broken two little girls' hearts.

"Look, Ness," Kevin sighed, realizing that she was getting upset. "Give it some time, I'm sure they'll come around eventually."

"Okay," Vanessa whispered, trying to pull herself together. "Thanks for telling me."

"I love you, Ness," Kevin stated quietly. "Please don't forget that."

"Love you too," Vanessa replied as she ended the call. The tears began flowing out from her eyes as she leaned her head into her palms.

She knew right in that moment that what she had done was wrong. Why hadn't she stopped herself? She shuttered at the memory and ran a hand through her messy auburn waves in the pure lonely silence of the room.

Vanessa laid down on her queen-sized mattress, pulling the lavender comforter up to her abdomen. Her eyes were red and swollen from the small crying session she had over an hour ago. She knew that she wouldn't be able to fall asleep, but yet, here she was trying to doze off.

What would she dream of anyways? Seeing as she was dream wrecker she supposed that nightmares would be her only nighttime companion.

She batted her eyes shut and tried to slow down her breathing. She felt like she was being pulled off somewhere when she finally felt like she had fallen into unconsciousness. She assumed though that she was just imagining it and that it was her being pulled off into her dreaming state.

Wow, this dream was kind of odd though. A man sat before her dressed in all white and a smile creeping onto his face.

"Well hello," he whispered as he glanced her up and down. Her was leaning up against a cream-colored desk...in fact, everything in the office-like space was either cream or white. The only thing that really gave character to the room was the large window behind the desk displaying an enchanted forest-like scene.

Vanessa gazed at the man in front of her in absolute awe. He was honestly the most beautiful person she had ever laid eyes on.

His hair was a light brown and caressed with natural highlights of blonde. His stature was tall and lean which made his whole being seem more elegant. But the thing that really stuck to Vanessa the most was his eyes. They gleamed in the bright room at her, their blue pigment had edges of green and a gold which made his porcelain-colored skin seem even paler.

"Wow," she muttered her breath as she kept her gaze locked on his orbs.

He giggled at her. "You humans never cease to amuse me."

Wait, had he said 'you humans'? Wasn't he a human? He looked just like one, after all.

"Um, what do yo-"

"Did you recieve my letter?"

"Oh, you're the guy who played that prank on me!" Vanessa rose from her seat on the cream-colored arm chair. She pointed her index finger at him and shot him a quick glare. "So you think that's funny, huh?"

"How was it humorous?" the man questioned as his eyebrows shot up.

"You were making fun of me! Telling me that I had won some trip in 'Fairy Tale Land'," she scoffed at him.

"Ah," the man began, "so, you don't believe in that sort of thing?"

She rolled her eyes, "Oh and you do?"

"Yes, I would like to think that I do," the man crossed his narrow arms, the sleeves of his white suit stretching.

"Wow and they say I'm the crazy one," she laughed.

"Well yes, you are a little crazy," the man said with a smirk, mockingly. "You told two six-year-old girls that they shouldn't believe in fairy tales and that they can't possibly happen."

"Okay, how in the world do you know that I said that?" she questioned, cautiously. "Are you a stalker or something?"

"No, I know everything about you humans," the man explained.

"That sounded really...creepy," Vanessa stepped back a step towards the exit of the room.

"I've always been there, Vanessa; you just didn't know I was there, that's all. Most of the time when you grow up, we tend to go away."

"Who's 'we'?" she questioned.

"Oh, that's right," the man said, "I haven't told you about anything yet."

"Alright, I really think I should be leaving," Vanessa grasped onto the golden handle of the door.

"Wait!" the man exclaimed. Vanessa suddenly felt her feet being lifted off of the ground...she was levitating. She began to panic as she realized that this man was the one holding her up in the air without even touching her. She was being pulled back over to the man who was guiding her body with just the movement of his fingers.

As her feet were planted on the floor in front of him, that's when she froze in her place. "H-How in the-"

"I'm not like you, Vanessa," the man explained calmly.

"Then what are you? Who are you? Where in the world am I?"

The man's eyes bore deep into her's, almost as if he were trying to read her mind. "You don't know me?"

"Uh, no...?"

"YOUR FAIRYNESS!" Suddenly, a small elf-like creature came scurrying into the room. As he realized that Vanessa was in the room, he gazed down at the ivory tile floor awkwardly. "I'm sorry, I'll come back later."

He stumbled out of the room once more and Vanessa officially felt like she had gone insane. "Did he just call you 'your fairyne-"

"It's very nice to meet you, Vanessa Marks," the man grasped onto her hand and shook it. "I'm your Fairy Godfather."

Yep, she had definitely lost it.
