There's Always Hope

I've been told that my smile
Can light up a room
I am no longer that shy little girl

I no longer struggle with depression
My grandma would be so proud of me
I miss her everyday

I am a survivor of my past
My past no longer holds me down
I am going to keep on fighting

I've forgiven those who hurt me
I have to learn how to move on from my past
I've forgiven myself for harming my body

I thank my family for the constant love and support
I am now being strong for myself
Cause my family needs me at my strongest

I have to stitched up my wounds
I put my war paint on
And now I am ready for this battle

I have so much to keep fighting for
Everyday I stitch my wounds
And put my war paint on

I wear my battle scars as my badge of honour
My mission is to help others in their battles
I'm proud to share my life story
