The Last Fight

She walks into school with a
         smile on her face
She may have a rough home life
But she doesn't let that define
                who she is

She's doing her best to be strong
But she's not gonna pick up the
                 blade again
She has finally found that
     strength within herself

To being able to continue on in
                this fight
She wears her battle scars as her
             badge of honour
She lives each day like its her
                      last

She encourages others to keep
           fighting this fight
And that they aren't alone in
                this war
That there is hope in the midst
                  of this pain

That this pain is only temporary
Life may seem rough right now
But please just trust me that life
             does get better

She does her best to show others
          that there is hope
And that taking a blade to your
        wrists isn't worth it
And that there is other ways to
             find a release

From the emotions you are
          dealing with
Please remember that you are
          loved by so many
And that self-harm isn't worth it

Please just hold on a little longer
I promise you its gonna get
                   better
Promise me, you won't pick up
           the blade again
