The next two weeks are magical with him. We both share our knowledge of the forest with each other. I showed him how to shoot a bow, and he shared his talent with an spear. We also showed each other easy vegetarian meals and herbs that can heal a bad wound if ever needed. The fourteenth night we began to talk and listen to our favorite Green Day songs. Finally the moment if truth began. As we sit down and eat our squirrel stew he asks me, "So how did you end up here, you know out here in the forest"? I pause, thinking about where to start. "I lost my family to a pack of wolves", Tears begin to fill my eyes, " They got my brother first, then they went for me", I begin to weep, "I was alone when I heard my mother calling for me, I knew I would put her in danger if I spoke," now I'm bawling, " I was alone out here for three years and....and...now I found you. The first family I've had in years". "I'm so sorry Erica, I lost my family as well, also to a pack of wolves". I then fall into his arms and begin to cry hard as if I'm a child that just put their dog down. He hugs me, comforts me, he gives me something that I have not felt in years. I then look up, I see him staring into my eyes and then he says, "Your not alone anymore. I'll always be here for you. I promise".

The next morning I awake to the scent of freshly cooked boar. It smells like the bacon my mother, Jacob and I would always make. I calmly walk into the small kitchen and see him scrambling eggs, most likely robin eggs. He sees me and smiles, I smile back. He lays out two wooden plates and spreads the freshly made breakfast onto them. "So are we hunting today"? Silence. After a few seconds of quiet he says, "Listen, we can't go hunt today. Those wolves are back and I don't want you getting hurt". I calmly reply, "I've been killing the pack for years, I'm sure I can handle a single hunt". All is silent. "If you go I go. I won't leave you alone out there". "I know, but.....", he interrupts. "No. You won't go you can't handle the entire pack". "Ok then I won't go.....but neither will you". He nods in approval. That day we spend time setting snares close to the house instead of going out to hunt. We score a few hares but that is all we managed to get. That night I decide to go hunt. I know it's dangerous, but we need better meat. I then climb out of bed and grab my weapons, including my new spear. I slowly creep into the main room and see Jeremy sleeping on the animal hide couch. I flinch. The sight of him startles me. He looks like some humanoid creature in the pale moonlit house. I then tiptoe my way towards him, but before I reach the door he grabs my arm. "You aren't going out there". He says. "Yes I am. we need more food and you know it"! My temper rises and he sees the rage in me. I then feel him pull me down and onto his body. Before I know it I feel his lips press against mine, and then he says, "Your not going out there". "Ok". He then kisses me again, but this time I can feel his hands slide down my back and up my shirt. He then begins to undress me, and I him. We find ourselves in our under clothes and we go no further. His mouth explores every crevice of my body and I occasionally moan at the different ways he pleases me.

The next morning, we wake side by side. We look at each other and smile.

He then says to me, "How about we both go hunting today". "I would love to", I reply. It seems that the wolves have left, or at least for now. We skip breakfast that morning and grab our weapons for hunting. As we walk outside we see a deer. It's a buck, just what we need. I decide to use my bow, it will be quicker and quieter. I then grasp the handle of the bow, put an arrow in the string and pull back. I slowly breath in and then out, and then release. The animal falls. The shot was right through the heart, a quick death. As Jeremy and I walk up to the corpse we hear snarling. It's the wolves. Jeremy and I begin to run towards the house. I land face first into the thick pile of dead greenery, Jeremy at least ten feet ahead of me. I scream, "Jeremy! Help me! Please help me!" He turns and sees the wolves behind me and me in the dead leaves. He sprints towards me, picking me up in a heart beat. I feel a sharp pain in my ankle, it seems that I have broken it. I then say, "Go, leave me. Let me be with my family." "No! I'll carry you". He then picks me up and runs towards the house only fifteen feet away. The wolves are getting closer. Now only ten feet away from the house, the wolves even closer. Jeremy then throws the door open and shuts it behind us. He gently sets me down on the floor. "Fuck", he says under his breath. "What"? "The wolf bit you, it's bleeding badly. You've lost a lot of blood". Once I process the words spoken I realize that the wolves didn't want to kill us, or at least not yet. If they wanted to they would've. He begins to speak to me, but I can hear nothing. I begin to feel light headed, and my vision begins to fade. I then only see darkness and I fall into a deep sleep.
