As we roll Adams limp body into the large hole Jeremy looks up at me. He has sorrow and guilt in his eyes. He then says," I'm sorry I was an idiot for hurting you like that. My emotions got to me......and I.....I don't know what happened. I'm sorry." I look at him in anger, not caring for his stupid apology. " I don't care what happened. I gave you everything. My body, care, love, and you just threw it all away. I loved you." I try to hold back tears, trying to be strong but they pour through my tear ducts uncontrollably.

"I Gave into you! I let you have me! I gave you my love, my soul, my heart and you just fucking threw it away!" He looks at me in shock, knowing that a petty apology doesn't help now. "I know, I just.....don't know what came over me. It's almost like it wasn't me."

"I know your sorry, but you hurt me. You broke my heart." After saying that I angrily get up and walk into the nearby house. Jeremy follows, with his eyes at the forest floor. When we are both in the house I turn and say, "Jeremy, I'm leaving." He looks at me with a loss for words. After processing what I've said, he worriedly replys," When?" "Tomorrow." After getting out the words I walk back into my room and begin packing. I grab my weapons, some food from the cupboards, a wooden water canteen, and some extra clothes. By now it's nearly dark . I sleep early so I can leave early in the morning. The stress of the past couple of weeks make it easy to fall into a deep sleep.

I awaken deep into the night by a noise. I rub my eyes until they adjust and look around to see what it is. Just darkness. I then remember the previous day and it remind me of the song Know Your Enemy by Green Day. It's true. Know your enemy, or you'll get hurt. I slowly climb out of my bed and investigate what the noise was. I hear it again. I then look out my window and see it is just an elk. I then climb back into my bed and sleep once more.

The next morning I wake up early. Just how I wanted. I grab my things and begin to leave when I see Jeremy waiting for me at the door. He notices me and hurry's my way. I try to avoid him,but he approaches to quickly. I feel him grab my shoulders and pull me to him. I press against his chest and he kisses me. He holds it there for awhile and then releases. After releasing he looks at me, waiting for me to comment. I then give him what he's waiting for, a comment. "You crossed that bridge long ago", then I walk out of the house and my heart begins to truly break.

As I walk away I can feel his eyes burning into my back and watching every little move I make. He is only a memory now. Forgetting him, but not the time. He calls to me, begging me to stay, but I continue to ignore him, and leaving pain behind. As begin to slowly disappear through the tall trees and thick greenery, I realize I'm leaving behind the past and beginning a new future. Making a new start, a new life, a new beginning.

End of book one.
