It was in this moment, forever frozen in time. I felt his warmth against me, his heart pounding. " I love you, Rose." a deep velvety voice said. "When will i see you again?" i said in a sad tone. "Well just close your eyes and i'll be th- WAKE UP ROSE IM NOT SAYING IT AGAIN" I woke up with wide eyes. Crap just a dream. I sighed and rolled out of bed. "Alrighty Mama i'm up!!" I put my face in the pillow and grunted,6:40?? I'm late!! I ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, bags, bags galore.

I pulled my hair back and started washing my face. The exfoliating beads hurt but hey, clear skin. I brushed my teeth then rinsed my face off. I started my make-up and started thinking of him.

He would always tell me i didn't need it, that i was a natural beauty. I laughed at that, he would chuckle and tell me he wasn't joking. I snapped back to reality and saw i smudged my mascara, crap. I washed the smudge off and then finished my make-up. I looked at my closet and picked out a black halter crop top that read sorry i'm late i really didn't want to be here. I pulled my black miniskirt on and fastened the clip. Rushed, I grabbed my light denim jean jacket and sunglasses. I walked into my kitchen and saw my mom and brother. He was eating and she was doing dishes."Going to school now bye" i said grabbing my maroon bag and phone. Running out the door, i breathed in the fresh air.  You're probably wondering, when does the boy come into this. Patience, he comes in later on, for now here's my background.

Hey, I'm Rosaleen Celine Amora. Im a sophomore at RidgeWay High and officially late to the subway on my first day back. Running to school isn't exactly practical in New York but hey, I can't afford a taxi everyday so this is what i get. I could always take the subway if i wasn't so late all the time, but i don't want to bore you with my personal problems. My three closest friends, Nadia Wade, Alison Vause and Leo Lavander. Nadia Wade, my best friend. Always there, always dependable, always loyal. I don't remember a time where she wasn't at my side. She's my right hand man or uh, woman. Alison Vause, the studious, wholesome one. Straight As but shy as hell. Then theres Leo, the sweet one. He's the friendliest person you will ever meet. He has millions of friends everywhere. He's the classical gay best friend.

I kept running until i was 2 minutes away from school. Every morning i stop at my favorite little corner bakery and get a Pan Cubano y un Cafè con Leche. "Hey Tony" i said running in. "Was wondering when you were coming in Rose! Here's the usual." Tony was a 37 year old cuban who owned a little cafe on the corner of 91st street. "Thanks!" I left a 5 dollar and ran back out.

I ran into the doors of my first period with 2 minutes to spare. Now that was a close one. I took my seat next to Nadia and Leo. First period, English.
