Charvi heard a knock at the door. It was late and the knocking had startled her as she was in the kitchen, half asleep, eating her soup. She enjoyed soup. It warmed her throat after the constant cold air breathed in by Ordinaire's normal cold weather. Also, she never seemed to have gotten sick of the taste of the soup so she just enjoyed it as much as she did the last time she had it. Almost forgetting about the door, she got off her white couch and slowly approached the door.
"Probably someone coming to call me a freak are they?" Charvi mumbled to herself, hesitating to answer the door. She has had people come to complain about her before. That she was a bad influence on the children in the area. Like what?
She twisted the knob and opened the door, only wide enough so her eyes were visible to the figure outside. It was Erris.
"Hello, Charvi." Erris quietly spoke. He looked unsure and he looked like a dark demon, ready to disappear into a mysterious black pit of sand. Charvi relaxed slightly and moved away from the door to be seen more.
"Uh hey, come in." Charvi breathed. Erris stepped inside and stood, leaning on the table.
"Uh, what's up? How did you find me?" Charvi said.
"Oh, I've seen you around this place and I assumed. But I'm here to apologise, for running from you on Monday." He sighed. "I felt awful after I had left. I'm sorry."
"Oh right uh yeah, " Charvi stuttered. "It's fine don't worry, just.. what happened?"
"Uh I had forgotten that I needed to do something is all." He spoke with a deep, raspy voice.
"Oh alright, its no worries Erris." Charvi uttered.
"I'm really sor-" she cut him off.
"Don't stress about it." She spoke. "It's fine." As a sign of understanding and giving up, Erris put his hands into the battered sleeves of his long, black trench- looking jacket. He took in the large space around him. After absorbing the space, his eyes fell back on her.
" Well I better go, I'll see you at school then Charvi." he broke the silence. "You have a nice place by the way."
"Oh huh thanks, and yeah I'll see you at school." Charvi said. He smiled a light smile and walked towards the door.
"Again I'm sorry." Erris mentioned.
"Erris, its fine! Now you." Charvi laughed.
"Bye." He said. Charvi smiled and shut the door, but looked through the window she still watched him to see which way he would go. It was late and she assumed he would defiantly be walking back to his house. But no. He was walking to the park. Charvi squinted her eyes in the hope to see where he was going because he was almost out of sight. He was at the park?
"Strange Boy." Charvi thought.
