The bell rang and all I can think about are the report cards that are going online in five minutes. I take out my phone from my backpack and walk to the cafe right next to the campus. I ordered a cup of cappuccino with soy milk and sat down at a chair and sign into my school account. I kept refreshing the page until the report cards showed up. As always, I got almost all straight A's. I clicked into the assignments. I never really got grades below B's. That changes now. I failed a paired project. My eyes narrowed and clicked into the details of that project. It was a research project that we had a while ago. I was paired with the absolute worst partner ever. Kim Taehyung. He was someone who never worked for anything but cheated on tests, forged grades, and bribed people. He's basically a man whore. He hooks up with girls and break their hearts in an instant. Asshole. He didn't do any work and our professor instantly failed us both. This isn't fair. I felt a rush of anger, madness, and pure hatred flow through me. It felt like lava falling onto me. Mostly probably because I spilled my coffee all over my lap. I sighed and quickly cleaned it up. I walked out of the shop with a thunder cloud on top of my head and an upset attitude. I got into my car and drove home. I lock the car and walk to the doorstep. I shove the house key into the lock and of course, it won't work. I took a deep breath and retried to open the door. Click. I twisted the door knob and pulled the key out.

"Unnie! You're home! Finally." My sister, Seohyun yelled out from the kitchen.
"Seohyun, want to help me make brownies?" I asked.
"Yes! Do I get extra for helping?"
"Sure."
"Then, yes."

I put my bag down and walked into the kitchen and put on an apron and got another one for Seohyun. She put on the apron and prepared the ingredients.

"What happened now?" She asked, taking out the milk from the fridge.
"I mean does something have to happen for me to just want to bake?" I asked, knowing what I said was a lie for her just not to ask.
"I'm not stupid. You always bake when you're upset with something."

I always bake when I get frustrated with something and Seohyun always helps. It relieves my anger for some reason. It kinda distracts you from reality and drags you into food, I don't know.

"Fine, but promise not to tell dad." I said, holding out my pinky.
"Fine." She links her pinky with mine and puts down the block of butter onto the counter.
"I failed an important paired research assignment that dragged my grades down." I said, sighing.
"What the f-" she stopped and widened her eyes.
"I'm okay with you cussing around me. Just don't do it around dad." I rolled my eyes.

Dad thinks that Seohyun is too young to curse so he never lets her curse around him, or else he would punish her in some sort of way. Our dad has a pretty bad drinking problem so he would always come home drunk with a bottle in his hand and some woman on the other. I mean, I don't get how he doesn't let Hyun curse when he comes home drunk with some slut all the time. It is true that Hyun is pretty young but the fact that our dad isn't a role model for her is just ironic. Our mom passed away when we were pretty young but I was the one who actually remembers memories of her. Hyun was only three months old when she passed away, so she doesn't remember anything but she blames herself for that. I had to keep reassuring her for a while that it wasn't her fault. Mom passed away in a car crash. The other driver hit the car right when my mom was almost there to pick me up from school. I waited half an hour for her to come pick me up and then I gave up and tried to walk home. On the cross road, I remember seeing flashing lights and loud sirens. And my mom's car being completely wrecked on the side of the road and my mom's head, completely covered in oozing blood. Ever since after that, my dad never found someone he truly loved so he made others fall in love with him, then hurt them. He was broken.

"Unnie!" Seohyun shouted as she waved her hand in fron of my face.
"Oh, what?" I snapped out of thinking.
"How did you fail that assignment? You never failed anything." She asked, furrowing her eyebrows with a face full of confusion and concern.
"This guy didn't put any effort to do anything. The professor failed us both." I said, mixing the batter together after Hyun put it all in a bowl.
"You better go punch him in the face then. How could he do that and drag your grades down?"
I just sighed as I poured the batter into the pan and put it into the oven.
