One More Foe. One More Friend

"I can't believe this. How could I be related to that.. monster. He has to be lying. Please tell me this is a joke." I pleaded quietly.

"That doesn't matter now. What we need to focus on right now is that Carla is planning something and we don't know what might or might not happen." Reiji said harshly.

"Shu, can you please let me see Fredric just for a quick moment, I promise I won't do anything bad I just need to know some things that are missing in my mind. Please." I pleaded to Reiji.

"I'll give you all the time that you need. But I expect some answers to us as well." Reiji said as he glared at the door of the room Fredric was in.

"Thank you, Reiji. I will give you some definite answers." I said rushing to the room.

I quietly stepped in and shut the door. I looked to Fredric with a devastated look on his face.

"Fredric." I whispered just barely.

"You, what do you want?" He said with a furrowed face.

"Answers. I have most of the pieces of the story in my mind, but I think there's something else that I should know." I said still hesitant.

"I will tell you, but I need to know that your prepared to listen to what I'm going to say." Fredric said almost afraid.

"I am. I know I am. Just tell me what the heck is going on here." I said getting more and more frustrated.

"About what I said, that group of vampires were a threat to everyone else. People hunted them down but most killed in an ambush, probably the one that killed your mother. They were down in numbers and lacked powerful rulers and reproducers. They needed someone strong, like a descendent of someone powerful. There was no hope for them so they stay hidden in the shadows. That's until you came around. You gave them the sign to go and make their move. From the information and thinking I've done. They're planning on bringing back the dead. Along with your mother and other powerful figures. And if your mother was on their team, they would have expected you the strongest out of them all to just walk right into their hands. But I don't know the case now. Everything depends on you after that. Either they overthrow the demon world and soon the human world. Or you save the day with us. Your choice." Fredric said while giving me a hopeful look.

"My choice, that is something that needs to be answered. But sadly I don't have an answer for that." I said about to leave.

"Wait, promise to keep just one secret from those idiots." Fredric smiled.

"Okay, what do you need to tell me?" I said confused and curious.

"Not tell, but show." Fredric pointed out.

He stood in the middle of the room and it was dead silent. I watched as he grew bigger turning hairier and dog like. I stared at him for a moment with my mouth open and suddenly realized.

"Hold up a second, are you for real. So are you telling me that your just like me?" I said in a whisper loud voice.

"Yes but don't tell, unlike you I've been around for a long time and there are lots of people that know me and want me dead for many reasons." He said quietly looking around just in case.

"Thank you." I smiled. I stopped at the door and put on a poker face. I stepped out and shut the door quickly so no one could see inside.

"Did you finally get what you needed?" Ruki said walking into the hallway.

"Not yet, close though." I smiled.

"Close. You better be prepared to be interrogated by Mr. Police Man Reiji." Ruki laughed and walked off.
