The first thing that greeted them as they flew through the other side of the portal was bright sunlight and wind that plesently blew against both their faces. Alex looked down which may have not been a smart move. As she saw the green land and blue ocean pass beneath them she had a mixture of awe and slight fear. They flew in complete silence just enjoying the scenery and fresh air, when they finally began to descend downward and landed on an island where you could see more dragons flying to-and-fro.
Alex looked with awe at her surroundings and quietly questioned, "Is this....Berk?"
"Yep." Hiccup replied happily a smile adorning his face, "Here follow me." He dismounted Toothless and started walking toward what looked like a large arena. Alex looked around at everything mouth slightly open as she followed the auburn haired boy. Hiccup looked back at her and laughed at her reaction. They eventually reached the arena. Hiccup turned around to look at her and opened his arms wide while announcing, "Welcome to Berks Dragon Training Acadamy!"
He once again laughed at Alex's amazed look.
"Come on." Hiccup said waving his hand motioning for her to follow as he walked into the acadamy.
"Hey Gobber." Hiccup called as they entered the acadamy.
A man in viking attire, a peg leg, a hook for a hand, and a longish blond beard turned around and said, "What is it Hiccup?"
"This is Alex." Hiccup motioned to her.
"Hello there!" The man identified as Gobber greeted her. Alex smiled and waved.
"Where did all the dragons go?" Hiccup questioned looking confused.
"They were all adopted." Gobber answered.
Hiccup sighed, "So much for that plan."
"What plan?" Alex asked.
"Oh,ya," Hiccup said, "I was thinking that you, Merrida, and Punzie could get dragons to help you get around since me and Jack can already fly."
Alex's eyes widened and a surprised smile spread across her face, "Really?!?!
"Yep," He replied, "If ya want one."
"Sure!"
"Well cool," Hiccup replied with a huge smile, "but it can't happen today because all of the dragons have been adopted."
"Oh, OK. Oh, ya Repunzel told me to ask you."
"Ask me what?" Hiccup questioned curiously.
"Well Repunzel told me I have to pick a wepon, and I chose a sword."
"What about a fire sword?"
"Sure!" Alex smiled.
"OK so I'll work on that but until you get your wepon we can work on other things such as dragon trivia, or hand-to-hand combat might be useful if you were to get separated from your sword."
Alex nodded.
"OK," Hiccup said, "tell me about the Deadly Nadder."
"The Deadly Nadder has the hottest fire in the known dragon world." Alex began, "They are in the Tracker class (Yes I know originaly they were in the sharp class but they changed it later If you whatch the bonus features on HTTYD 2 it says so), and they have poisonous spikes on their tail that can shoot at will."
Alex and Hiccup continued going over dragon trivia, with Alex doing pretty good.
"OK," Hiccup announced, "time for hand-to-hand combat."
Hiccup showed Alex a few moves then announced that it was time for sparring. They were ready to star when an awkward look engulfed Hiccups face. Somehow Alex knew what was bothering him.
"It's OK if you hit me." she said with a slight laugh, "That's the point of sparring right?"
Hiccup looked almost amused at her reaction and said with a laugh, "OK." And with that they began to fight.
It was simple and quick with both of them aquiring a few bruises but Alex more so than Hiccup.
"Well," Hiccup said rubbing his arm, "that was.......fun?"
Alex laughed, "So what now?"
Hiccup looked at the sun which was now setting, "Time to take you back to Punzie's tower."
Alex nodded then they both mounted Toothless and took off.

"So," Repunzel began once Hiccup had left, "how did your first day of training go?"
"It was great!" Alex replied enthusiastically, "We talked about dragons, I even saw a few dragons when we went to Berk! We also went over hand-to-hand combat." Alex had a huge smile plastered on her face.
"Glad to hear you had fun." Repunzel said, "Did you get to pick a dragon?"
"No they had all been adopted or something."
"Oh, that's to bad."
Alex and Repunzel readied themselve for bed and went to sleep.
