Friday nights are supposed to be nights you hang out with friends and just have a good time. That's what this was supposed to be but it turned into Scott, Stiles, Allison, and Lydia all playing UNO getting way too intense with the game.

"UNO!" Lydia screams as she throws down a blue card, overly excited about almost winning and finishing this treacherous game.

"Ha! I win!" Stiles exclaims as he throws down his last card. He stands up and does a happy dance that causes Scott to punch him in the leg, making him fall down.

"What the fuck, dude." He looks around to see all three of his friends flustered and fuming with anger. UNO is not a family friendly game.

Allison picks up a throw pillow from his couch and hits him in the face with it causing the whole group to laugh. Just to make the group even more angry Stiles grabs the last slice of pizza and eats it in two big bites.

"I despise you more than any other human I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. You're loud and tacky, you ain't even cute. You also act like you have the mental capacity of a five year old." Lydia spurts out obviously not meaning any of it, which makes Stiles laugh even harder.

"Oh my god Lyds, stop hitting on me." He winks at her which makes her want to punch him in the face.

"You wanna be hit? I can arrange that, Stilinski." Lydia gets on her knees, ready to pounce on him but Allison pulls her back.

"Okay guys, it's getting really late, I gotta go home." Allison glances at Scott and smiles at him. "Can Scott give me a ride and then Sti give you one, lyds?"

"Yeah, of course." Stiles and Lydia say at the same time.

They all get up and say their goodbye's for the night, making plans for the next day and then all separating. Stiles and Lydia walk out to his jeep slowly, taking their time. Lydia goes to open the door but she can't seem to get it open.

"Oh, hold on." Stiles runs over to the drivers side and gets in, opening the passengers door from the inside.

"You know that's gonna suck if you ever have to go on a date in this thing." Lydia laughs at his worried face.

"Eh, if they truly like me they wont judge me." He starts the car and Lydia smiles. She loves the sound the jeep makes when it starts, she doesn't even know why but she could definitely listen to it forever.

"Wanna do a scenic route, Lyds?" He glances over at her and she nods her head with a big smile on her face.

They drive around for a good five minutes talking about random stuff like their favorite songs and if they like dogs or cats more. Stiles said dogs and Lydia said she loves both but probably dogs more. Cats are too much like her she said for her to be obsessed with them.

After what seems like ages of just driving around Stiles pulls into her driveway, shutting the car off so he can say goodbye without yelling over the loud engine.

"Thank you for tonight, Sti. It was one of the best nights I've had in awhile." She smiles at him with a confidence she didn't have before tonight.

"Yeah, it's no problem. I really enjoyed it too. We have to do it again some time soon." Lydia nods in agreement and kisses him on the cheek before leaving the jeep.

It's not until late at night, sitting in bed alone when he realizes something.

Fuck, he should've asked her on a date. Good job, Stiles.
