Accidentally in Love

Chapter Eleven.

After his talk with Scott, he realizes it is time to get the balls and ask out Lydia on a date. He just isn't quite sure how he's going to do it yet. His anxiety is through the roof, but he tries to just ignore it the best he can. 

Stiles walks straight to his locker where he always finds Lydia as soon as he gets into the school. Except today she wasn't there, which made him nervous. Maybe he really did screw up and it's too late. 

All of the thoughts flow out of his mind when he spots a strawberry blonde pushing her way through the crowd in a hurried fashion to his locker. The sight makes him smile like the idiot he is and once Lydia sees him she rolls her eyes. Can he just not be cute for one minute??

"Hey Sti, sorry I'm late, I overslept." Lydia's voice falters a bit from being out of breath. 

"Again? Lyds, I'm starting to think I'm going to have to wake you up every morning." He winks at her and they start walking to their first class.

"Yeah, I don't think that would help my case." She mutters under her breath, sitting down in the classroom where they always sit.

"Anyways! I needed to talk to you about something." He starts but the bell interrupts him before he can say anything.

"Later?" Lydia gives him a sympathetic look and opens her notebook and starts to write down what the board says. 

"Later." Stiles sighs and opens his book a bit exaggerated rolling his eyes and looking at the clock.

The whole day consisted of Stiles trying to talk to Lydia but being interrupted by something stupid. There was even a damn fire drill during lunch so they couldn't talk then. He figured he'd just find her after school and talk then since the world likes to work against him.

Meanwhile, Lydia has been having a really hard time concentrating today. Stiles has been trying to ask her something all day and she's starting to get real fed up with him not just spitting it out. Seriously, how long does the boy need? So when the end of the school day finally arrived, Lydia was fed up and Stiles was nervous.  

"Hey!" Stiles runs up to Lydia's locker, flailing all of his limbs while doing so. He leans against the locker next to hers trying to act cool once he gets there, which makes her giggle. 

"So, when are we going on a date?" Lydia asked, her voice completely flat and steady. She was done waiting. 

"Huh? What? Date? What would make you think? How'd you-?" he trips on his own foot at this point because he started pacing nervously. 

"Sweetheart, I am done waiting. I'm initiating it now. So pick me up at 8 tomorrow night, okay?" And with that she walks away in a confident manner. 

"Dude." Liam walks up and laughs at Stiles. "You're on the floor." 

"Oh really? I thought I was on the ceiling, dumbass. Help me up." The younger boy gives him a hand and Stiles pats him on the back once he's standing again. 

"What happened?" Liam follows Stiles' fast paced walk. 

"We are going to go find Scotty. Then I will tell both of you." Stiles heads towards the locker room, knowing that's where his best friend is. 

This day did not go as planned at all, but he's still pretty damn happy about it. Just extremely embarrassed because he fell down and acted like a complete buffoon in front of the girl of his dreams. 

"ScoTTY BOY," Stiles yells as soon as he opens the locker room door, surprised when he doesn't find him in there. What the hell, he was sure this is where he would be. He opens his phone and calls his bestfriend, which is immediately declined by him.   

Scotty McCool;): 

HEy sorry Sti! Hanging out with Allison;) talk later??

Stiles Slinky;):

UGH FINE BUT I LIKE REALLY NEED TO TALK GOOD NEWS AWAITS U BUD

2 minutes later

Stiles Slinky;):

WAIT ALLISON? DOUBLE DATE HERE WE COME !!!!

"Okay Liam, buddy, Scott is busy so I'll just rant to you instead." He turns around to reveal that the younger boy is gone. Dammit.
