*Cali's POV*
So today's the day huh? The day I start over with my best friend. The day I move from my home, where my parents aren't really around. The day I move from this hell hole, from all the bullying, all the pain.
I sighed as I got up from my bed and looked at my now empty room. I went to the bathroom and got ready to go. I walked down the stairs to a empty house. I'm the only child but I don't get any attention from my parents. They're always working and away from home, I never get to see them.
I looked around one last time before heading back upstairs to change out of my pajamas and into a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
Once I was finished I stuffed the rest of my clothes in a suitcase and collected all my things from the bathroom. My parents did know I was moving with Christian, my best friend, and they had no problem with it. I grabbed my phone and my skull candy headphones. I heard a honk from outside. I looked outside to the snow and saw Christian waving his hand like a maniac from the car window which he was hanging out from. I smiled and waved back. I snatched my suitcase and black beanie from my bed and ran downstairs. I slipped on my black converse, opened the front door and walked out of the house making sure I locked the door with the spare key that was hidden under the mat.
I walked to the car. "Hey Kenneth." He frowned. "You said you wouldn't call me that anymore." I laughed while he pouted. "Well it is your real name and we all know that Christian is your middle name."
"But I still like Christian better." He said with puppy dog eyes. "C you know that doesn't work on me." I chuckled. He looked of realization, his mouth in a 'O' shape. He shook out of it and helped me put my suitcase in the trunk of the car. I hopped in the car with Christian.
The car started to move and I watched as the trees zoomed by the window. I yawned and put my head on the cool glass and shut my eyes. The car ride to the air port was a 2 hour drive and we've been on the ride for 30 minutes. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and slowly turned my head to Christian. "You can lay your head on my shoulder if you want Cali." He offered. I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder and he laid his head on top of mine. We both drifted off to sleep.
Christian, he was there when nobody was. We were also friends since kindergarten but now he's 15 and I'm 14 and in high school. He sticks up for me when I can't and takes care of me. He tries to help me with my problems but when he tries I push him away and shut him out. I don't see why he's still friends with me like he could be with the popular group and not with a freak like me. Girls practically throw themselves at him but he turns them down. He's 5'8 while I'm 5'6 and he's pale while I'm tan, he has brown eyes and hair while I have black hair and eyes.
I felt someone shake me awake. My eyes shot open to be met with comforting brown eyes. I groan and close my eyes due to the bright light. Someone pulled me up from the seat then onto my feet. I opened my eyes a little bit getting use to the light. "Come on lazy penguin get on my back." Christian crouched down and I climbed onto his back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I nuzzled my face into his neck.
If you're wondering no we don't have any feeling towards each other. Well at least I don't but I don't know about Christian. We've never been more than just friends.
We got through security and now we're at our gate but we have 3 hours to spare. "I'm hungry." Christian said out of no where. "You always are C." I giggled. "Well come on let's get some foooooooddd." He begged. I rolled my eyes playfully and groan. "Fine!" I chuckled. He jumped up and down and screamed, "YYYAAAAAAYY!!!" I covered my ears.
I got up from where I was sitting and followed Christian. "Where do you want to eat?" I asked. He stopped and looked around. He smirked and looked at me. "Skyline." My eyes lit up cause that was one of my favorite places to eat. But then I remember something. I looked down at my shoes. I heard someone walk towards me and then saw black combat boots next to my feet. Two fingers were placed under my chin and forcing me to look up. I was met with familiar brown eyes for the second time that day.
