MAYA'S POV

"Oh shit", I muttered to myself.

"Step sis on the look!!" A girl said giggling and mocking me.

"Shut up" Terry said to her.

Oh Gosh. I was so embarrassed. Right now, he'll think I'm stalking him.

Unsure of what to say, I just said "Uhmm, I was just on my way to my room", I said and walked away blushing out of being embarrassed.

I quickly got to my room and settled on my bed covering my face.

I can't believe that just happened.

What on earth is he doing with all those girls and the loud music and all. Does he think my dad will be cool with this.

He's turning my house to a freaking club.

As I undressed myself to take a shower, I heard footsteps going down the stairs and voices arguing.

I opened my door slightly and heard Terry and his mum arguing.

If he would just shut the hell up and listen to his mum, before my dad gets home.

Oh boys. Hmm...I sighed and closed my door.

Then I went in to take a shower.

I was so tired today, and I don't know why but I'm glad that I got no home work to do.

As I stepped out with my towel wrapped around my body, I saw Terry on my bed and I screamed.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"Sitting on your bed", he said smiling like it's a normal thing.

"Terry get out now or I'll scream".

"No, you won't".

"Yes, I will", I was about to scream and Terry walked to me and covered my mouth with his hand and the other hand was behind my back.

I felt my body get tensed up.

My heartbeat was so loud. I'm sure he could hear it.

His eyes bulged into mine and we couldn't take our eyes off each other.

He was breathing on my face and Gosh, I could smell his cologne. It smelt so perfect.

I was melting inside.

Oh God, better do something before I melt to liquid.

Why do I feel like this.

Maya embrace it.

No, he's a jerk.

He's not. Maybe he's into you.

What if he's just trying to get me in bed.

Don't be blind, dumsy.

Get off my head

Whatever.

The knock from coming from the door made us pull off from each other at once.

"Maya, can I come in?", Chelsea said.

"Yeah", I said, but Terry's eyes widened and he whispered to me to say no.

But it was too late. His mom already walked in.

But I hid in my closet and changed quickly into my Pajamas shorts and top so that she doesn't see that I was just in a towel.

"Terry?", I heard her say.

"Ahuh"

"What are you doing here?"

"So now, I can't have girls in my room and I can't also come to Maya's room".

The girls part made me feel hurt for a while.

"No, I thought you two don't get along".

"We do get along, I was actually here to seek assistance in one of my home works".

"Mmm...I see, and where's Maya?".

"I'm here", I said coming out of my closet.

"I was looking for something". I said smiling.

"Okay, I just came to let you know that I was stepping out. Your dad's car got spoilt and he wants me to come and pick him".

"Oh okay".

"Yeah, I love you both, bye". She said walking out of the room.

Terry just rolled his eyes.

Immediately she got in, I yelled at Terry to get out of my room.

"I was serious when I said that I needed help with my home work"

"Oh please, we both know that you're more intelligent than I am".

"Aww. I'll take that as a compliment. But I'm stuck on this..".

"Terry just go. I'm so tired and I need to sleep".

"Sleep? At this time? Are you a chicken?".

"Terry please go. I've already felt embarrassed twice this evening".

Uh oh. I shouldn't have said that. Terry was looking at me trying to prevent himself from laughing. But when I covered my face, he burst out laughing.

"Aww, Maya, you looked so cute back then. Now, tell me. Were you stalking me?", he said folding his hands.

"I wasn't", I spat.

"So what were you doing behind my door"?

Could this guy just leave already. His presence was really affecting me.

"Since you ain't going to leave, I'll leave this room for you", I said about to leave.

"Alright alright. I'll leave", he said walking towards the door.

"I'll be heading to Tasha's place. Any message for her", he said smirking.

"Just go".

He left and I released a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

Oh God, what's Terry doing to me.

I'm not ready to fall for anyone now. Can't stand any other heartbreak.

And I think Tasha likes him. And he's going to be my step brother too.

Hmm...I pray I don't fall, cos it's going to be forbidden.

I got on my bed and slowly drifted away to my sleep...
