"Well, I'm staying here for the week, little brother!" Lilia cheered happily as they had all sat down at the dinner table again.

"Oh... Yay...?" He responded very enthusiastically.

"You should be more happy to see your older sister than this! Some kids don't get to see their older siblings for years, and only see them for a few hours between those periods of time! Stop being a spoiled brat!" The older sister hounded him.

"Okay! Okay! I get it! I'm sorry, sis." Gohan didn't seem honest about his words though. He looked to be holding his true feelings in.

Everyone could tell and it was a bit awkward. A few minutes later, Asuka and Sano decided they would head back home. Gohan offered to walk them back, only to get away from his sisters, of course.

"So... Are we friends? I know that you act different around me, so I wanted to make sure I didn't get the wrong idea." Asuka whispered so that her brother wouldn't hear. She didn't want him to know that she was doubting their friendship or he'd get mad.

"We aren't. Why would I be friends with a girl like you? I want to make this clear. I don't care if you like me, I just don't like you at all. I mean, seriously? You wore a dress and high heels to hang out with a friend. It's obvious you like me." He spoke with a snotty voice. Asuka didn't like this side of him at all.

"I only wanted to be your friend. It was so hard even though you didn't like me at all. It's not even like I want to date you! I just want to be your friend! Why can't you see past your self-confidence in wooing girls-at least that's how I see it-and let me just be like a guy friend to you! Is that so much to ask?" The brunette yelled at the boy outside by the forest.

"But you are so girly-" Asuka cut him off.

"So just because a girl wears high heels and a dress to see a friend she's in love with him? Why do guys see girls and judge them for every single little thing we do? It's not like we just go around and are like, 'Hey look at that dude, he's wearing a tank-like why? That's so weird.' When it's Summer! Unless I'm the only person in the world who sees it that way, you're never going to get a real girlfriend who will be committed." His scowl deepened and she began to limp away. She was tempted to flick him off, but felt that she'd be just like him if she did so.

"Ah! Asuka! Wait up!" Sano cried as he ran to catch up to her.

He sent a glare in Gohan's direction, even though he didn't completely understand everything, he knew that Gohan Jr. wasn't being fair to his sister. Even for the dense Sano, that's not cool. Nobody messes with his family, at least not on his watch. Sano was a gangster in the past, so he knew how to defend his family and friends when it came to enemies.

---

"Are you okay? Did he do something to you? Please tell me!" Sano desperately pleaded his sister for information. She hadn't spoken for the past five minutes.

"I'm fine." She finally muttered. Her voice was cracking, and she seemed very distressed

"You don't look fine. What did that brat do?!" Her older brother began to shout.

"Stop it!" Asuka grabbed his hand and warned him, "You'll wake the neighbors... Besides, I don't need help dealing with that jerk. He doesn't deserve any friends that are girls."

The two went home and got ready for bed-since it was getting very late. Asuka looked out her bedroom window with frustration.

"I hate you Gohan!" She shouted at the cracked moon.

Asuka liked the moon. It gleamed even though it was in pieces. She wished that she could become like the moon. Even if her heart was torn, she could still smile. Or, at least, that's what she wants to be like.

On the other side of the house, Sano heard his sister shout angrily, "Stupid Gohan... You made me an enemy, and I am a fearsome opponent. We could've been good friends if you hadn't been a jerk."

Sanosuke... This young man was so deeply in love with his family that he never could have a lover. All the girls he liked hated the fact that he cared about his family more than them. It wasn't his fault, though. It was his nature.
