“Claire! How dare you be so insulting to me! You are a Spear and that was the dumbest thing you could have done. You could have lost my future sister in law you dumbass!” Kristen was yelling at Jace Friday afternoon during lunch.
It was quite the show and the look on Claire’s face was priceless.
Yeah right if she thought she was getting my Alpha.
“Yeah dude, I thought it was about to be the end of the world when you told me that. I could have slapped you” Peter said chugging his soda.
“And I could have slapped you and Taylor” I said crossing my arms as they looked at me. “You two are just as guilty as Jace was. How could you withhold such important information like that from me? You wouldn’t even talk or look at me”.
“Yeah!” Essence said hitting Peter upside the head.
“I’m sorry Spencer, I really am. But Jace made us promise to keep our distance because he knew we’d blab” Taylor said putting his hand out for a pound. “No beef?”
I laughed as we pounded our fists together. “No beef”.
“Now what do you have to say for yourself?” Essence said pointedly at Peter.
He stopped mid chew and smiled at me. “Lighten up Spencer”
“Gross” I said throwing my empty apple juice carton at him.
I really did miss lunch with these three.
“I am sorry though” he spoke after swallowing his food. “I should have spoken on Jace’s idioticness but he’s my best friend. I was trying to have his back whether he was being stupid or not. But you know you’re my favorite. Plus your best friend is hot”
“You sure know how to apologize” Jace said wrapping his arm around my waist. “I think I owe you the biggest apology of everyone. Yes I have said it a million times but a million and one can’t hurt me. I’m sorry” he said kissing my cheek.
“Okay guys, enough about that. How about that mark Spencer’s rocking” Essence said giving me a wink.
Of course she had to put me on blast.
“I was going to say something this morning because it’s so easy to make her go red” Kristen chuckled.
“I smelt it before they even made it in the door. You have Jace germs all over you. Yuck” Peter joked.
“My mate, my germs”
It felt so good to have everything back to normal.
Jace was my boyfriend, I was happy and hanging out with these five people pretty much made my day.
“Whatcha thinking about?” Essence asked.
I gave her a smile. “You guys”.
“Aw, having a sappy girl moment”
Peter was always and forever going to be the one to ruin a moment.
“I guess so” I said sticking out my tongue.
The bell rang and I groaned. “I don’t wanna go to class”.
“Come on” Jace said reaching for my hand. “The quicker we finish this day, the quicker I will have you all to myself this weekend”.
We began walking to my locker so I could grab my things for my last three periods. It felt so nice to have Jace walking me to class again.
It wasn’t so nice to see Claire leaning against my locker.
