It was dark outside to the point where you couldn't even see your own hand in front of you. Avery knew she had to get back to her apartment even if it meant leaving her broken down vehicle behind. She couldn't stay out here. She didn't feel safe.

She didn't know why she felt unsafe, she just had this feeling that someone was watching her from afar. She quickly started to jog in the direction of her apartment, but she couldn't shake the feeling of being followed. She sped up a little bit. Then she heard footsteps behind her. Loud, demanding footsteps that seemed to be right behind her.

She didn't dare look back. She could only imagine what might be behind her. Soon, she reached a streetlight that had the 'DO NOT WALK' signal facing her way. She was desperate, she tapped her foot frantically. When the sign finally changed to ''WALK' she breathed a sigh of relief but as she took a step off the sidewalk she felt something plunge into her back.

She slowly looked behind her at the face she remembered from high school..Micah Scott. He said to her, "You haven't gotten any prettier since I last saw you, it's a shame you had to go this way." Micah said as he started to laugh psychotically. It shook Avery to her core. It was the last thing she heard before she died from bleeding to death.
