Jessa runs up the stairs and into her room, slamming the door behind her. She walks slowly over to a nearby mirror and cringes at what she sees, a fresh purple bruise forming over her left eye. "Great," she mutters, "just another bruise to cover up."
When her mom died years ago, her dad took it hard, turning towards alcohol to solve his problems. He turned really aggressive real fast. Jessa has pretty much been on her own ever since.
Jessa has always felt different, like she didn't belong, and tonight was no different. She has this weird, gut feeling that tomorrow was going to be different.
She notices it is getting late and decides to take a shower. She felt better once the warm water hit her bruised and battered body. They once hurt, but she has become immune to the pain. She quickly gets out and gets dressed. She walks over to her bed and sits down. Hearing a weird sound as she does so. She quickly gets up and looks at a bright red envelope staring at her from where she once sat. "What in the world is this?" She thought. Her dad never gave her any sort of mail. She sits down and tentivly opens it. It read as followed:
Dear Mrs Jessa Paine,
I'm pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Zedora Academy. In two days time, we will send a driver to your house. Pack only the essentials. Everything else including school cloths will be provided. Congratulations and welcome to the academy.
Sincerely,
Principal Allure"Is this some kind of joke?" She thought. "Why would they accept me of all people?" She also realized she had no clue what this place was. She has never heard of Zedora Academy. She is also thrilled since all she ever wanted is nothing more then to get away from her dad, so she decided that in two days time she would be outside waiting to go to her new life at this mysterious school.
