Alisha's face of mercy was screaming for help, using her expression and voice. I could feel the glands of sweat trickling down my forehead. Moisture had precipitated on my palms, making the situation worse.
"PLEASE, DESTINY!!! I CAN'T DIE, NOT LIKE THIS!!" She screeched at me, like I didn't care.
But I did. I could throw my phone off a cliff and not even care. No, maybe even my laptop off, on purpose. And let's just say I wouldn't buy another one. That was practically how much I cared for my best friend. She nearly slipped out of my fingertips. Nearly. Then an album of memories was lodged into my mind. You could say it was more of a slideshow, yet I came to realization that this would most likely be the last time I'll ever see Alisha. Alive, at least.
The memories faded away, bringing me back to reality, and well, Alisha still clinging at the cliff. I pulled her up, with all my strenth. I could see her waist up to the edge.
"Could you climb up now?!" I said, "Can you at least try to?"
She thrusted her elbows up, pushing herself upward inch by inch. Alisha grunted as her legs struggled onto the rigid edge. Her eyes widened in fright as she looked behind me.
"Destiny, behind you!" She gasped.
Something shot through me. I slowly moved my head down, and there was a stone shard in my hips. A spear. The pain was unbearable, and when I bled a puddle of red death, I fell forward. All I could see was the bottom of the cliff, which I assumed my head was leaning off. But there was something else, something terrifyingly dreadful. Its hands reached for me, and it fell downwards. Hair flying all over her face and tears glistening in the sun, Alisha had lost my hold. Then all I could see was darkness as I closed my eyes forlornly. I had lost my best friend as she fell to her death, along with my heart.
