You think I wanted this?
You think I like being me?
I never wanted any of this!
I just want to be normal...
Tam's shadow whispers echoed through the darkness, causing fear and pain to pierce Sophie's mind. She stumbled forward, looking for a way to get out. She yelled and cried but no one could hear her. She started to run as the whispers got louder.
I can't do this anymore!
People always get hurt around me.
I'm just a freak...
Just leave me alone...
Tears poured down Sophie's cheeks as she ran but it was no use. The darkness was everywhere. She stopped and fell to the ground, curling up into a fetal position. She tried to block out the whispers but they kept slipping through.
I should just die alone...
No more..
Just end me...
Let my mind break and put me in Exile...
No one could fear me again..
Sophie kept crying as the whispers made way through her body, sending chills to her bones. She shivered and her breathing got heavier. She wanted to give up. The darkness pulled her in further, the more she realized how right the whispers were. Suddenly she felt something hit her back and heard a loud thud. She looked up and saw Linh.
"Sophie! Sophie! Don't listen to the whispers! They're wrong. Tam is using the hidden secrets in your shadow to hurt you! Don't listen!" Linh shook Sophie violently, and the darkness cleared up a little bit. Sophie sat up and rubbed her head. "What happened?"
"Oh Sophie! I'm so sorry I should have stopped Tam but he was really angry and everyone knows you're not suppose to get a Shade angry or else they'll reveal their true shadow and will stop at nothing until everyone around them is broken." Linh said as she cried into Sophie's shoulder.
Sophie noticed some blood running from Linh's head. She lifted up some of Linh's hair and saw a small gash. "Where did you get this?" Sophie asked, still a little groggy from the darkness. "When I tried to get near Tam, his shadow lashed out at me and struck me in the head. I was able to get away but Tam's face was so pale and horrifying."
Linh took her face off Sophie's shoulder and looked at her eyes. "We have to stop him." Linh got up and showed her hand to Sophie. Sophie took her hand and got up too. "How are we going to stop him?" Sophie said as they started to walk. "We have to touch his physical body or get one of his mental weaknesses."
The air started to get colder around them. "Do you know any of Tam's weaknesses?" Sophie said as she started to shiver. "No. He never told me but I think we can get close to his body by using the element of surprise." Linh whispered. "Us? Surprising Tam? That's impossible." Sophie barely got out as the air turned frosty. "Nothing's impossible, Sophie."

Sorry this is really short but I'm having major writer's block and I'm planning to write another book and they're clashing together and I'm like "AGHHHHHH!"
So I just published this because I just needed an ending point.
I promise this will be the last two parter.
Tell me what you think. 😊
