You sat on the couch with your 5 month old son who was crying his head off and you couldn't seem to calm him. Luke was currently on tour and has been for 4 months and wasn't supposed to be back for another 3 weeks. Yes, Luke left for tour and left you with a newborn baby, but he didn't want to. He tried his hardest to work things out with management or move the tour back at least until you guys got used to having a new baby around, but unfortunately there was nothing he could do. Being separated for so long especially with a baby now, was very hard. You missed Luke a lot and you were really struggling with the baby and all without him, but you didn't let him know that. Every Skype call and phone call you covered it up and told him that you had it all under control. You didn't want him on tour constantly worrying about you because you couldn't handle everything at home. You wanted him to really enjoy being on tour. He loves what he does and you didn't wanna take him away from that. So here you are another sleepless night trying to get you son back to sleep. He was definitely a daddy's little boy, it was hard to get him to sleep without Luke but you usually managed to after about 3 hours or so of struggling except this time he just didn't seem to want to calm down and sleep at all.
"Shhh come on baby, you have to be tired by now! You've been like this for hours! I don't know what to do!" You said pacing back and forth trying to rock the distraught baby in your arms. "Come on baby mommy doesn't wanna see you so upset. Please calm down!" You said starting to tear up a little yourself. You really need Luke here right now but unfortunately he was on the other side of the world. You really wanted to believe you could calm of your own baby but by now you were tired and you knew the baby needed sleep too. You grabbed your phone and a mini speaker and played The Girl Who Cried Wolf, it was the calmest, slowest song by the boys you could think of at the moment. As the soft music filled the air your baby's cries started to settle.
"Awe that's it you just miss daddy don't you? Its ok I miss him too baby...I miss him too. I don't know how much longer I can do this without him. I really need him here. You're a tough little guy to take care of." you said kissing your baby's forehead and letting a few tears fall from your eyes.
"I missed you too." You heard a familiar voice say. You quickly turned your head to where the voice came from and sure enough you saw the beautiful tall blonde boy you loved.
"Luke!!!!!" You cried getting up and going over to him, hugging him as close as you could without crushing  he baby in your arms.
"Hi princess! Oh God I missed you so much! How's my little man?" He asked looking down at his son.
"He's good, I just got him to calm down, I just had to play him some of your music." You said trying to play it off like you had it under control.
"Babe I came back early to help you. I don't care if you tried to cover it up on the phone calls and Skype calls, I can see right through you. I know you're exhausted I can tell. I could here him crying from outside. And I heard you talking to him, babe don't be afraid to ask for help. You know I'm always here for you. I don't want you doing this on your own, you're not supposed to do this on your own. That's  why I'm here. I'm the Dad I'm supposed to help, ok?" He said looking deep into your eyes the whole time and then kissing your lips softly. God you missed those lips.
"I love you Luke."
"I love you too. Now I want you to go to bed, I'll put him to sleep." He said taking the baby from you.
"Thank you Luke...We missed you." You said yawning and realizing just how tired you were. You headed back to you and Luke's room and before you knew it you were fast asleep soon joined by Luke wrapping his arms around you holding you close and protectively in your sleep.
