Melted wax drips to the floor,
like silk it slips through my fingers. Each drop an explosion of pain inside me, ripping me apart
I loose one word at a time as I hear the wax hit the hollow floor.I cup my weak hands trying to save maybe one or two of my words of you
But its all in vain,
The wax slips through, carrying away my words away
My words were my own yet completely consisting of you,
Our perfect love,
Feelings written down,
Moments recorded for life,
memories carved upon my skin.Suddenly your wild heart turned ravenous, seeking more than me
So you set me alight needing to destroy this love,
all traces of our unity and the heat of this furnace is melting everything,
my crayons ,
my drawings,
my feelings... the flames are setting you free
Liquid now are our sonnets at sunset, passion at dawn, gentle kisses and all
For our dreams are running down my body each contour crying as it feels you slipping away
Multiple colors of love, lust, anger, joy, embrace merge into colors never before seen
The floor is the canvas for a new image of melted wax, melted dreams
A masterpiece of a broken love proving it wasn't real
As you leave...turn off the light
