Chapter 25: forgiveness and new beginnings!!

Couple weeks had passed since the accident. Dominick was nursing Jayce back to health. He didn't talk to Tevon. He knew that it was an accident but he still didn't understand why him.. Like was he going through all this with Jayce and Tevon who he lived. But he also loved, Jayce too. 

   " hey, Dominick you didn't really have to do this all this, go be with  your friends!" Jayce asked.

   " no, I don't want to be bothered with anyone right now... I don't want to lose you again!" Dominick said, as he was tearing up some.

   " don't cry, D! Tevon didn't mean for all this to happen, okay! It was an accident you have to get over this!" Jayce explained.

    " I don't want to forgive him." Dominick yelled.

    Jayce just looked at him with concern.

   " I'm sorry, I need some air.. But, if you need me just ring the bell.

   Dominick left out and went to the balcony. He just didn't understand why this was happening to him. First, Tevon going off to the military. Then, proposal. Now, Jayce in an accident, almost died.

    He just asked God why.

   " God. I know I haven't spoken to you in awhile and you know I follow everything you do, to the best of my ability. But, why am I going through this! First my ex going into the military all of a sudden, then.. He proposed to me. Now, Jayce in an accident. Like what are you trying to say, Father.. Please just let me know. " he prayed to God and just enjoyed the fresh air.

  He knew he had to forgive him but it was hard to do. But, he called Tevon.

   Tevon: " HELLO!" Tevon voice picked up.

   Dominick didn't say anything at first.

  Tevon: HELLO!!" Tevon said again.

   Dominick: " Hey, it's me Dominick!!

Tevon: " hey, D is everything okay, I was worried about you!"

  Dominick: "everything is fine, I'm taking care of Jayce, no thanks to you!"

Tevon: " look I'm sorry and I will say it over and over!"

Dominick: look I know you are sorry and I do forgive you.. But, Tevon I can't be with you! It's not you its me!"

Tevon: " what do you mean?"

Dominick: I can't do this! Us!! I've thought about so many things. The good and bad.. And honestly.. I thought about what you said at the gym. I understand you've changed and you regret choosing your dream over me. I don't blame you.. But, out of all honesty, I felt like you kept me from growing.. And being a better version of me. Someone, whose outspoken, a man of actions and integrity and someone who wants to find the good in others!

Tevon: wow!! Just like that.. You are giving up on us because you want to find yourself? You could've done that a long time ago, when it came to you moving with me. You could've said no!"

   Dominick : look I know that! I was still young and didn't know myself! But, I know who I am now, and I just can't live in the spat anymore. And, I don't understand why you decided to join the military.. And I may know so you can provide something better for us!?"

  Tevon: well.. Yeah that's why I joined, but I also joined because I guess I need to find myself too. But, look D you will always have a place in my heart. I don't give a fuck of you decide to be with Jayce but I will never stop loving you. When, I do find myself.. I'm coming for you!!

Dominick was silent. He didn't know what to feel or think.  He heard the bell.

   " I'll be right there!!" Dominick yelled, covering up the speaker part of the phone.

  Tevon: " you there!!"

Dominick: " I'm here!" Look, no matter what you say I found myself and I want something better for myself. And, I think I found it. So, I got to go!"

They hung up the phone.

   Dominick went to Jayce and asked him what's up.

    " nothing.. Just want to say thank you for sticking by me Dominick!" Jayce said.

   " no problem!" Dominick said.

   " so.. I heard what you were saying to Tevon! In proud of you!" Jayce said.

   " how?" Dominick asked.

    " all I can say is that I have super hearing!" Jayce laughed.  But, on a serious note I'm proud of you because you have found yourself and that's all I ever wanted for you.. Is to find you again! I understand you've been hurt and everything.. But, the most important is finding you. And , you don't got to be with me or him.. But, I do love you and I just want the best for you!" Jayce said, smiling.

   " Jayce I want to be with you okay! The reason I decided not to be with Tevon is that I knew him a and he knew me . But, we were two different people then. All to say, though.. Is that.. You are apart of my now and hopefully forever. I never understood you myself.. I honestly was just thinking here is another Tevon! But, you aren't.. You are different. You loved me in so many ways, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. And, I guess I lost myself a while back. I was supporting his dreams but I was supporting me and what I wanted. But, I want you, Jayce Cortez  Matthews! Dominick said, as he kissed him and sat on his lap.

   

    2-3 months had passed and Dominick smd Jayve were married. Tevon eventually got married back to Fernando and they had a child that they adopted. He realized that he was never meant to be with Dominick. He grew as well, and he realized that it's time to let Dominick live for Himself and likewise. The others they were well off to.

HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE ENJOYED THIS JOURNEY OF MY STORY. AND, I know most of you guys wanted, TEVON and DOMINICK . BUT THE POINT OF THIS STORY IS THAT SOMETIMES WE BASICALLY  LOSE OURSELVES IN THESE RELATIONSHIPS AND END UP LOST IN THE SENSE OF NOT KNOWING WHO WE ARE AND SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO GO ON A LIFE JOURNEY OF SELF DISCOVERY .

   By the way the story continues with a legacy.. So hope you guys enjoy it!!
