It all hits you at once. So much happens. Things you only heard about from the news becomes your life. All the myths and things that you thought were lies. They're true. So true, you can't even begin to understand how cruel the world truly is for keeping the dead honest truth away from you.

I sit thinking about how much my life has changed in the last 24 hours. I lost Emotion. I'm separated from Atom for most of the day. I had to change schools. My enemy might be my only ally in this place. I met a girl who doesn't seem like a killer. I met a boy who does. And I met a guy who told me, word by word, welcome to my new life. Making it official.

I look up as two girls walks into the room. There's a tall one and a short one. The tall girl looks pretty much like a model. She has strawberry red hair that reaches her waist. She's oriental and her face structure is perfect. She is dressed in gothic clothes, which actually look really nice on her. I notice her eyes are bright green. Obviously had surgery done to get them like that. I spot the HTS tattoo on her neck, and a tiny heart one right under it.

The other girl, who is much shorter, maybe 5'3, walks in behind her. She has platinum blonde hair that just reaches her shoulders. She doesn't have an HTS tattoo, but I do notice a tattoo going around her arm. Almost like a bandage. She wears a pink t shirt and jean shorts, complimented by white Vans. I quickly look away realizing I'm staring.

"Ok class," says our teacher, " Meet Jason, Charolette," he motions to us. "Aya," he says gesturing to the tall girl with green eyes," And Naomi," he nods to the other girl.

We all look at eachother saying not a word.

"And Aaron," he says to the boy with white hair,"Please. don't hurt the new ones this time."

I watch Aaron stare at him for a while before smiling.

"No promises," he says.

I watch as the knife that was once in his hand, fly across the room, and landing on the floor right in front of the teacher.

I look at him like he is absolutely crazy. Someone could have gotten hurt!

The teacher let's out a sigh. He has no emotion on his face. He simply goes to desk, sits down, and opens up his reader and listens to his book.

Charolette looks up from her phone as soon as the teacher sits down.

"What the hell," she mutters under her breath.

At that moment I try to decide whether I should tell her to calm down or let her throw one of her bitch fits.

I decide to uncage the dog.

"Wait," she folds her hands in front of her. "You're not going to teach us?"

"No...he's not," Jen says to her.

Charolette looks at her like she's lost her mind, but then she remembers this isnt Winslow, and she isn't queen.

"He's just going to sit there," Jen continues as if Charolette didn't look at her like she's trash. "They don't teach carriers."

This time me and Charolette share the same reaction.

"Then what's the point of school?" I ask.

Blake sits on the edge of my desk.

"It's just so the HTS free parents don't have to suffer, because their kids are killers. Get use to it kid," he says.

He gets up and stands behind Jen, leaning against the back of her chair.
