Alright, people, as I had said before: I'm in a Prince of Tennis mood at the moment. So comment a lot because I love hearing from you! The more comments I get, the faster I type! I really enjoy hearing what you have to say! Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~Ryoma tossed the ball of yarn back and forth between his hands, as he stared at the computer screen; on the screen was a Skype group chat with his former teammates. The twelve year old sighed as he caught the yarn ball. "Here we go," the thirteenth agent thought as he clicked the call button.
Only a few minutes later, the first caller picked up. A Skype user with the screen name of Yūrei. "Dark as night, the ghost haunts through the day," the person, a male, greeted. "Bright as day, the cat runs through the night," Ryoma answered. "Neko-kun, why did you decide to call all of a sudden?" Yūrei inquired.
The boy's voice was soft and polite. "Wait till the others pick up, then I will tell you why," Ryoma answered. "Alright," Yūrei said as the next agent picked up; a Skype user with the screen name of Usagi. "Dark as night, the rabbit hops through the day," the person, a boy, said.
Ryoma gave the correct greeting, and Usagi sighed. "I'm surprised that you're calling. Did the higher ups want something?" he asked. "As I told Yūrei, I will reveal the reason once everyone is on?" Ryoma sighed as he tossed the yarn ball into the air.
Before Usagi could reply, the next two agents entered the call. Inu and Ondori. "Dark as night, the dog runs through the day," Inu said. "Dark as night, the rooster crows through the day," Ondori said. "Light as day, the cat runs through the night," Ryoma replied. "Neko-kun, it's been three years, and now you decide to call us. Is something wrong?" Ondori asked concerned.
"Everything's alright, once Iruka and Batta get on, we'll start," Ryoma said calmly. Ondori sighed, "I'm glad to hear it. It sounds like all of you are doing pretty good," he observed.
"Yes, we're all doing pretty well," Yūrei said. "No complaints here," Usagi commented. "Pretty much the same on my end as well," Inu said. Ryoma nodded, "Pretty much everything is fine with me, nothing new to report. Now, where the heck are Iruka and Batta?" he asked.
"I don't know about Batta, but I'm guessing Iruka's off doing what he normally does," Ondori said. Ryoma smiled fondly, "It's comforting that some things never changes," he commented, and his comrades hummed in agreement. Just then, Batta got on. "Dark as night, the grasshopper hops through the day," he said.
"Light as day, the cat runs through the night," Ryoma replied. "Hey, guys! How's life!?" Batta asked cheerfully. Usagi laughed, "As cheerfully as ever," he noted. "Hey, Usagi, are you still a bit of a coward as you used to?" Batta teased. "I'll have you know, I joined my school's football team," Usagi pointed out. "You joined a sports team? Well, with that speed of yours, I guess that makes sense," Inu said.
"Speaking of sports, Neko-kun, I joined the tennis team at my school," Ondori said. Ryoma leaned back in his chair, and continued to toss the yarn of ball back and forth. "Okay, cool," he said simply. "Tennis still a touchy subject, eh?" Ondori asked. "Ya think? Where the heck is Iruka? I want to start," Ryoma groaned.
Before any of the others could answer, Iruka finally entered the call. "Dark as night, the dolphin swims through the day," he said. "Light as day, the cat runs through the night. About time you got on, what the heck were you doing?" Ryoma asked annoyed. "...I was in the bath," Iruka said. His former teammates shared a collective sigh. "You and water, I swear," they said in unison.
