I could see nothing, everything was pitch dark. The water came and crashed on me causing me to fall to the bottom of the small boat. Every time I would stand up only to get knocked down once again. My body was freezing and I couldn't feel my toes or fingers. I coughed out the salty taste of sea water and made an attempt to save my boat. Suddenly a faint yellow light shown in the distance. Trying to focused on the light caused me to trip and fall again to the bottom of the boat. My eyes fluttered open to see the front of the boat swing apart and a big sharp rock impairing me in the side. Pain gushes through my body, I touch my side and feel a wet sticky substance. Blood. I reach and am able to pull the tarp to my side. I tried to stand up but I couldn't and lay there while my boat got torn apart every new wave. While sitting there I was able to accept the fact that the sea was going to kill me.
