My Heavenly Abyss - Chapter 3

BEEP BEEP BEEP.

Well there goes my alarm clock again. I lift my head up and smash the snooze button because the buzzing sound is really adding to my horrible migraine. Hangover, much? I should've never drank that 10th bottle. Now it feels like everything in my stomach is mixing and my body is so sore. I guess this is what I get for drinking too much.

Trying to balance my sore body as I stand, I glance at the clock and BAM...late again. I limp towards the bathroom because for some unknown reason, my legs are stinging. I decided to just give up and skip class today. Not a big deal, really.

I go back to bed and pull the blanket, covering my whole body.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

"Erin! Wake up already! You'll be late for school."

"I won't be going to school today, Hayl. I'm not feeling too well."

"Okay, Er. I hope you'll get better. Oh! By the way. The drivers aren't here because mom and dad had an errand for them to do so I'll be taking the bus. See you later!"

then I hear footsteps running down the stairs and finally the front door slams..

"I hope to see you again, Nyb. I promise you this won't be our last meeting!"

These words. Who was that guy? His face looked so...angelic yet it was like he had a dark secret he was storing away in his cold heart. He had these eyes that saw through my soul. He was almost the perfect bad boy out of a movie, with all the danger and mystery. I wanted to meet him again. I wanted to be in his presence and feel the bad boy ora he was giving off. But will I ever cross paths between that handsome creature again?

I fall asleep after a few minutes of conjuring up things in my head on how I want our next encounter will be. Situations I'm pretty sure that will never happen in real life. I imagine it being in a park. I'm sitting on a bench, re-reading The Hunger Games book for the nth time, wearing my favorite sweater, jeans and my pair of Nike shoes. My hair would be in a messy bun because it was a windy day and I hate it when my hair gets all tangled up because of the wind. Someone sits beside me and this very familiar smell distracts me from the book and causes me to look up...It was him! It was the mystery guy from the bar! He was wearing a red varsity jacket, black jeans and black Supras. His hair was spiky and he had this black piercing on his left ear that made him so much hotter. He was staring at me with those eyes. I literally felt like I was melting because of the intensity of his stare. I can't help it but blush and look away then I hear a small grunt as he stands up and leaves. I'm in utter shock. Maybe what I imagined would be the exact thing that would happen the next time I see him. I couldn't help but feel disappointed because I really was starting to like him despite the fact I didn't know his name. I decided to just forget about it and close my eyes because I just can't think straight with this major headache.

A few hours after drifting off to dreamland, I finally flutter my eyes open and check the clock. It was 11:00 in the morning. I wanted to go back to sleep but then my monster, wait I meant my stomach, roared and I felt the sudden hunger. I haven't eaten breakfast and it was almost noon. There was no one around because the maids don't come before 2pm. I had no choice but to get off my ass and drive to the nearest McDonalds to get some grub.

Changing into some sweats and a tank top, I tie my hair up into a ponytail and put on my sneakers.

Don't care about how I look. Don't care about what people will think. All I care is about the food cuz my stomach sounds like a dying whale...and I'm not exaggerating...

I get in to the car and buckle up. At this time of the day, I'll be fine driving by myself. It's just a few blocks away anyway.

Parking the car, I pull out the keys and grab my wallet and phone. Walking thru the doors of McDonalds and smelling the processed food was like heaven for the dying whale. I fall in line and pick what to order, I couldn't wait to stuff my face with all the delicious food I could get. Just before I could get my turn, a hand holds my shoulder and I turn around and see a cop... Oh shit.

"Excuse me, Ma'am. May I talk to you about an important matter?"

I was done for. I just nodded.

Oh double shit.

"I think we have a problem here. I saw you get out of that black vehicle alone and you seem to be younger than someone who has a license."

Oh triple shit. I stood there, frozen.

"Ma'am? I need to see your license."

Nope. I couldn't move. I was too caught up in my thoughts of going to jail and wearing those orange suits. Orange does NOT look good on me, I swear.

"Hi, Officer! Is there a problem here?" A man approached us and put his arm around me. I was too afraid to look up.

"This little lady might be too young to be driving a motor vehicle and she hasn't shown me her license."

"Oh? Her? She was just getting my phone from the driver's seat. I was too hungry that I forgot to bring it out so I asked her to get it."

This man was trying to save my sorry butt.

"Is she your girlfriend, sir?"

"Her? She's my sister. Haha. So, Officer, I think there's no problem here anymore, right?"

"No, Sir. I'm sorry to bother you. Ma'am, my apologies. You two have a great day!"

And just that, the officer just walked away. Oh my gosh. That was close. I should thank this mystery man who just saved me from going to the big house.

As soon as the police officer left, the man took his hand off my shoulder and walked away...

"Hey! Wait up!..." I ran towards him.

"... I didn't get a chance to thank you. So, thanks."

I offered my hand to him as a sign of thanks, expecting him to shake hands with me. I was speechless as the man turned around. My body completely froze and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was...
