Walking was what I was doing, through the forest when I saw it. It was colourful, and looked very well taken care of. It had round windows, and though the door was wide open, it looked deserted. A heavy sense of gloomy nostalgia hovered around it. I couldn't help but to go exploring, for that's what I do you see.
I peered inside. A window. An eerie yellow light mixed with pink shone softly and I was startled to see a man standing at the desk! He was tall very tall, and had a large grin spread across his face showcasing blindingly white teeth. I stood against the side of the building which had a strange plastic like smoothness to it. I decided to go inside the building.
Confidently, I took a wide step and entered the oddly placed building in the middle of the woods. There was some groovy jazz music playing from somewhere above me, and from the menus above the counter and the tables lining the wall, I concluded that it was a restaurant of some sort. Although I didn't think it possible, the man's smile widened as he looked me directly in the eye.
He did not speak. One thing out of many about the establishment that seemed slightly unnerving. Another one being that although it was a restaurant, there did not seem to be any space for a kitchen, just one large room for serving and dining. It reminded me of an old plastic toy restaurant my son had.
Suddenly I heard a soft thump behind me, I didn't have to turn around, I knew what had happened, the door had closed. I was trapped.
It was dark outside now, wasn't it daylight only moments ago? How long had I been standing here? I couldn't move, I was stuck, paralysed. The man was gone. Was there even a man to begin with? Now nothing, where am I?
{This isn't my universe}
help.
