"Miss Isely! Can you Control your volume, be gentle to your new classmate." Mr Churrosky said calmly, can I add that his "calmness" is just an act in front of the new boy.
I grumbled a little bit as I began to settle back down onto my seat, the new kid or "Tom" walked over to his seat right beside me. Mr Churrosky is definitely a manipulative little twat, he probably knew that I didn't like Tom. Tom began settling down taking out his History textbook and immediately looked prepared for class. History. Probably one of the most boring classes of all time even Math class is more entertaining compared to this. It was clear that only half an hour has passed and I'm half asleep. The sound of the clocks ticking was so consistent and so soothing, I barely even noticed that I've been staring at Tom the whole time until he asked, "What are you doing? Why are you staring at me that way?"
"Oh nothing really, I only intended on sleeping but since you're here I should give a good first impression." I said, snapping out of my sleepy trance.
"Well, you've given me a great first impression of you. You don't really like that many people, you seem rude but I bet you're not and you're different." Tom replied, kindly.
"I'm glad that you're thinking that way. Especially with that British accent of yours, you can most probably get a girlfriend in no time."
"I'm not looking for one at this moment maybe some other day though. I prefer to be waiting for her instead of breaking hearts while waiting." He gave out a sigh as if he had been hurt before.
Just then the bell had rung, that was fastest History lesson for the first time ever. Carrying my trombone in one hand and textbooks in the other, I walked to my next class when Tom came infront of me. "Hey Aleksandra, am I not wrong? Forgive me if I'm interrupting, but do you happen to know where classroom 01-06 happens to be?" He asked, handing me over his schedule.
"It seems that we're going to be in the classes for every Monday and Thursday and a class or two for every other day." I said without any expression not knowing how to react."So now you'll have to follow me like a lost puppy it seems."
"Wait.. Why are we heading over to the bathroom? Come on let's go, I don't want to be late for class on the first day."He exclaimed.
"Too bad then, either find somebody else to go to class or wait for me to come out." I sassed him, it is kinda fun sassing people around if you think about it. He led out a sigh of defeat since I was the only person he knew. As I came out of the bathroom, Tom was hiding at the corner close to the bathroom. "Why are you so anxious about your first day at school anyways? This school is meant to burn in hell. I never get these kind of people." I asked Tom curiously.
"Hmm.. I guess it's just psychological to try to be good at school for the first few days. It's not gonna last that long." He replied me picking up some pace.
After a few other classes it was recess, recess, one of a teenagers biggest nightmares. We were all separated in different genres, math and science nerds, cheerleaders, jocks, divas, loners, emo and there's me, stuck with the geeks. But even during recess did Tom not stop following me, it was getting annoying in real honesty, did he not manage to talk to at least somebody else other than me? Most probably not. He sat down right next to me. My friends gave out a smirk, most probably assuming that we were together or something.
"Why are you following me? Isn't there somebody else you can disturb?" I whispered passive-aggressively into his ear, trying to keep my frustration in order. "Listen, we got off at the wrong hand. I didn't mean to bump into you, it's just that you're very interesting and different from anybody else I've met." He whispered back, smiling back at their smirks. "So.. Uhm, have you guys met atom yet? New kid from Britain." Their eyes widened as I said Britain, why do people keep doing that? "Dude, no way. You're from Great Britain, the place where Dr Who was created! Ahem, not like I care or anything like that." Curt said attempting to clear his throat, rolling our eyes at his failed attempt to cover his fangirling. "Why aren't you with the popular kids? They would always want somebody as tall and as good looking as you to sit with them." Daryl asked trying to put up a conversation, a bad topic if you ask me, it's not like the popular kids are bitchy or anything, they're nice unlike most populars the thing is that everybody's petrified because of how much the people who are with them. The worst kind of people, they can backstab you like a balloon and a needle.
"I don't intend on being anybody at this moment I prefer to just enjoy while I still can." Tom replied trying his best to interact as much as possible. "And by the way why are you two always together?" Curt asked with a cheeky grin written on his face, "Is something going on between you two we don't know about?"
"NO! Nothing is going on between us, I swear. You guys know my rules already there's just no way we are together." I yelled. Poor Tom though, I'm starting to feel kinda bad for him he's kinda nice guy and I'm just over there yelling. "And there goes the bell." I said blowing some strands of hair away from my face. As I was walking to my locker guess who showed up over there? "Tom's a good guy after all maybe I should give him a chance, I should be forgiving and spare him a chance." I thought reasoning with myself. I waved to him and he waved back, how did he know which was my locker anyway but I just shook it off. Just then a group of people ran by me, pushing my case to the ground as I tried to balance myself before falling to the ground.
I was close to hitting the ground when suddenly a hand grabbed hold of me hoisting me in mid air, while another hand got hold of my back causing me to lean at an angle like those couples in romantic movies. I'm not enjoying this position at all.
